feel and groove get people in the heart. Meatheads go more for the speed of doubles and singles: - Gadd & Porcaro over Weckl, Peart etc any day. And yep, this guy has groove too.

i agree with you, the groovers cant be denied and they are the best, usually all around too. porcaro and gadd are the best and the only other dude that is up there like that these days and is carlock. hes humble like porcaro and gadd and grooves like a mofo. hes also got his own thing going, and created that with the help of wayne krantz and his music. ive never heard anyone else play soo much and never really sound bad or like they are over playing, which to me is the hardest thing to do.

Yeah and he still is very versatile. With the Live album from Oz he plays superb jazzy grooves while he can also play very controlled when he plays with Steely Dan or Donald Fagen. In my opinion the most unique and skilled drummer on the moment. Well, Vinnie still kicks ass but what he plays is just absurd. Unsane shit.
