I was in love with this clip until I realized that the sound we're hearing is not actually the V8TT engine. It's a feature BMW calls "Active Sound Design," where they digitally pump a soundtrack into the cabin via the speakers. The reason this sounds to intoxicating is because M division is injecting traces of a V10-ish engine note into the cabin. I'm pretty sad to hear this. :(

@2345godfather As far as I know, you can't shut it off without unhooking your sound system. The "volume" increases and decreases based on your selection of the DCT shift modes. A writer for a car magazine actually exposed this junk feature when they realized how quiet the car was after unhooking the speakers/amplifier!
