  • So many great shows at The Agora. I'm a blurry moptop kid at 1:45.

  • Used to hang with you guys at the Bistro! Glad to finally see something on here. That was a great room... I think I remember you guys buying the place... right after Whiteface got their deal.... Wondered what happened to you guys!

Great era in Atlanta music,,, Whiteface, Baby And The Pacifiers, The Producers

  • I remember the Bistro well. When Baby and the Pacifiers weren't playing there, usually the Basics, or the Roys, or the Restraints... and a host of Athens bands were. It was a wonderful time to be involved in the music scene in Atlanta. Something that doesn't exist there now. We've all grown up, had families and watched the time pass. But,ah, what memories there were. Thanks Larue.

  • Incredible!

Now upload a copy of "Lavonia" (spelling probably wrong, but I'll never forget the chorus)!

  • Somewhere in the basement I have AFTER U JUMP and PLANET RANGER on tape, and some of the pink vinyl 45s. We used to drive from Gainesville in rain, sleet, snow, whatever to get to THE BISTRO. Those were indeed the goold ole days!!!!!

  • OMG! I lOVED these guys-before you go-oh-oh, could I have your stereo??

  • Just remembered "growing pains"!!

  • What a great place.

    What a great band.

Any chance of getting a video of

    "Monkey Time"?

Many years ago I heard a set on one of the alternative radio stations.

Is there a CD for sale?

    Thanks

  • Okay all you former Bistro kids. We definitely need to have a reunion! My sister, Jan, and I used to hang out there all the time. She did some art work for the band. I love this band. I have several of the black Baby and the Pacifiers T-shirts and quite a few of their 45's. I am only sorry that I didn't stay in touch with them afer my sister passed away. Would love to know how to get in touch with anyone from back then. Again - love you guys.

  • wow, great memories. loved the Bistro was there almost every weekend. I kinda had a thing for Maurice back then. would love to see some more.

  • Wow...I have been searchin' the net since there was searchin' the net to find out if there really was a band called Baby and the Pacifiers or if I just imagined being at the Bistro what seems like a hundred years ago....great to see this vid....any more??

  • I was there too. In fact I lived and worked in a house down the street on W Peachtree. . that stood until 2004. A blue house up from the Cheetah. Back in the '80s, it was easy to walk to the Agora and 688 in one direction and the Bistro in the other. Don't forget that "Weekends" was another hot club back then. .and it was also in the 'hood. I've met the band members. . where are they now?

  • The axis of party: Bistro, Agora, 688, rinse, repeat.

    Cheers all!

  • GO AUNT TERE!!!!!!! thats my aunt! the blonde back up singer thats her! she has an amazing voice and can really hit high notes! thanx for the upload!

  • Well Hello LaRue! Baby just sent me this link! Thank you for making me smile! All the Memories Hugs Sweetie-Jan

  • Thanks for the info. The memories are coming back now. I

saw the band several times at the Bistro and now recall that it was also where you guys lived. Interesting place - the Bistro was. I was playing bass in a number of bands around that time and always liked seeing the Atlanta bands. At that time there were a number of live venues so the scene was pretty vibrant which seems to have a changed a great deal. Anyway drop a line once the reunion is in the works.

  • geez.. I think I was there for this show. This was the Agora in Atlanta right ? I know they played there a few times but more commonly at the Bistro on W. Peachtree where Ru Paul used to play

  • You probably were there. Yes this is the Agora Ballroom in Atlanta and we did play there often but were always to be found playing at the Bistro on West Peachtree Street because we all lived upstairs in the upper part of the house if you recall. Thanks for checking in, I've gotten a few cool messages since I posted all of this stuff. Rue Paul was real cool and always enjoyed having him play at the bistro too. One day a reunion will happen stay in touch.
