I so cried too when I saw Paul do this song live. I had often wondered why the girls cried in all the old clips. That night he took the stage and played this, it felt like the 60s and I was one of the girls from old clips.
I do believe that this one of very few famous men who most likely NEVER cheated on his wife, even with ample opportunity! Ah where can I find a man of his caliber?!?!
@elvismjbeatles143 They aren't sad, exactly. The tears are probably a mixture of pure joy, nostalgia, being overwhelmed by the amazing power of the Beatles & what they meant to a whole generation of people, just being in the presence of a living legend. And yes, sadness that John and George are gone forever. True superstars have charisma. I was once at a function and Ringo Starr walked in; the electricity in the air was palpable, even though he was trying not to be noticed.
grown men openly weeping .... in 64 they were carrying girls out of Beatles concerts on stretchers.. this is what beatles music does to people... and it hasnt lost that ability
Realmente exelente!!!!!! quisiera haver nacido mucho antes para poder vivir en los 60 y disfrutar a los fabulosos cuatro de liverpool . from argentina

lady at 0:25 looks like she is having the time of her life. It is as if she is reminiscing the times of when she was younger, fitting right back into the memories of her little girl self...
@solargesture theres a story out there that this song was playing at Roosevelt Hospital when John died, I'm not sure of the validity of it, but maybe thats it
@solargesture It was his wife's favorite song. She died a few months before the concert. He had bought tickets for the both of them to go as a surprise, but there was an accident. On her way home from work one night she was struck by a drunk driver. Her dying words to her husband were, "Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you. Remember I'll always be true. And while I'm away, I'll write home everyday and i'll send all my loving to you."
I think it is just very emotional when the music that has been part of your life for years is being played live...and you are there! I took my beloved Dad to a gig and it was the first time I had ever seen him cry. I will never forget that.
@chull1973 You are absolutely right. I cried when I saw this guy crying because I know exactly the emotions he is experiencing. I was 11 years old when I saw The Beatles open the Ed Sullivan Show with this song, and my life-long love affair with Beatles music began. It is very hard to explain this to anyone who wasn't a witness to the Beatles experience.
@solargesture The same happened to me and my friend at Paul's concert in Berlin on 2009 during The Long And Winding Road. Trust me, it was completely unexpected, I turned in tears to see my friend and he was in the same condition. The guy is a legend and it is just a thrill being just few meters away from him while he sings such legendary pieces of music history.
love it

They don't make em like that anymore. Compare the Beatles to some of the one note, no talent wonders of today and the noise that passes for music.
