  • I don't understand you said cardio burns muscle?? I mean alot of fighters (MMA, Boxing, etc.) they do alot of running for their cardio and still have lots of muscle. So have U ever tried to tell this thing to a fighter that he shouldn't be doing cardio coz that's gonna make him loose muscle...

  • I've been following you, and now I'm much thinner now, not only that I feel so healthy its awesome. I'm down from 238lbs to 193lbs, I eat lots and lots of fruits, and veggies or all types, take my multi-vitamin/mineral, stay natural, work out with your circuits however it fits me by mixing them up, and push my self (not hurt, just advance the level of training) to keep doing what I'm doing. Though (odd) one thing I'd like to know is how to train my neck muscles to handle G forces in motorsports.

  • im just starting my weight loss project :) subscribed to a gym with a personal training schedule. I just wanna let you know you're video's inspired me to lose weight :) you made me realised i dont have to feel fat and be misserable about it!

    i weigh 220 pounds and im 167cm tall, with a BMI of 35.

    gonna make that 180pounds on a healthy way! :D

  • Let me help my Bro @DavidsFitness out here.....damn ppl here it is in a nutshell. Eat right stay away from high sat fat and trans fat foods. Eat and REFUEL your body in the A.M. Workout. Don't sit down and eat full course meals 3 times a day only. Cause your body needs energy and by snacking healthy during the day your gonna find that when you do eat you'll eat less. Eating healthy is the key to any success your wanting to see.

    I do cardio 5 days a week, doing at least 2 10ks in that time span.

    I'm a 20-year-old vegetarian and eat fairly healthy, snacking a lot more throughout the day than actual meals.

    But for the life of me, I cant lose any weight. I'm a healthy BMI, not skinny but athletically built (have a lot of thigh muscle) so does this mean I'm at a set weight? I've been trying to lose a few inches and I'm stuck!

    I mean, i try not to look at weight since muscle is obviously more than fat. So I look at inches. And every time I measure myself for the past few years, I remain the same. Is this considered my "set point" or am I not tapping all of my potential?

  • @shrunkpea17 not tapping potential, take it a step futher, cardio is your friend if your trying to loose muscle

  • @shrunkpea17 It's your diet and exercise routine that's the problem, not the intensity. Insulin stores fat, carbs trigger insulin. Eat fewer carbs/sugar. Simple as that.

  • I have heard that lifting weights, while you are still in your young, can stun your growth, have heard of this? If so can you tell me how much of this is true?

  • @delicious619 Unless you're very young...and I mean very...It doesn't matter.

  • @delicious619 Trying to lift heavy weight, like 1-rep max weight, before the body is finished growing can stunt bone growth. There's lots of guys out there who are totally jacked, but are short or have goofy short arms and legs because they lifted too heavy too young.

  • I've been using 20 pound dumbbells for a few weeks now, with 1 hour of cardio afterwards.  I have noticed a huge difference in my body and how active I am.

  • Man I need tp gain weight my goal is 160 lbs currently im 130. I am eating close to 2700 calories a day with 160 grams protein (not in the same sitting) is It correct when im being told that I cant gain muscle without fat? Lifting weights will help maintain muscle correct?

  • Don't know David. Most people don't get what the differences between simple and complex carbohydrates are. You can't have lucky charms for breakfast if you intend to lose weight.

  • @ICE9RLN0 well if you eat lucky charms and go utilize that sugar rather than sitting on it you won't store it as fat, the muscle cell will utilize it as glucose if it isn't resistant. now refine sugar isnt healthy to the body because its harder to filter and process period.

  • @DavidsFitness My biggest issue has always been electrolyte balance when I go to the gym I got to piss six or eight times during a workout. Do you have any idea for what to do about that? The doctors gave me a clean bill of health so I'm not a diabetic.

  • Man Dave you look beat up!. Good video since when I began going to the gym last year I was focusing on doing 1-1 1/2 cardio exercises, and not focusing on lifting weights... but now I will be doing the other way around and see what happens.

  • Hey david! Do you recommended taking whey protein before of after cardio work? My goal is to gain another 15 lbs of muscle and have been working out for a month and taking protein since last week. I've tried taking it before running, but it seems to "slosh" around in my stomach when I do and makes it more difficult. Any thoughts?

  • @BlueBombers4Life during and long bouts of cardio tap into muscle and begans to to the reverse effect if they arent properly fueled.

Since nutrition is obviously the biggest factor in our health and fitness, we know you will be talking about carbs, calories, fats, protein, etc., but personally I would also like it if you could do a bonus during each video where you give us simple recipes. It would be a great combination! Show us some workouts, teach us nutrition, and teach us to cook lmao

  • I've tried to convince my sister to eat breakfast b/c she has this weird concept that not eating breakfast will actually help her lose weight... *sigh* She stayed the same and even GAINED weight! I eat more food than her (healthy food and excercise), and I'm losing weight. From what I observed, skipping breakfast causes you to retain all the fat that you eat, gives you more urges to eat junk food & have a sedentary lifestyle. I know I don't do anything and eat EVERYTHING when I skip breakfast

  • Tho I'm not following your particular exercises, I made a training program of my own that's more adequate for my body (bit more strength, some different cardio exercises), I find your videos quite motivating and helping. It would be great if you made some more of them about nutrition, for instance, about good and bad habits and healthy lifestyle (food related, ofc).

    Keep doing your thing and keep helping us fat people maintain motivation in our weight struggle :)

  • @robem10 Im, Certified Through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) 2yrs now, also A.C.E on and off, Played American Football for 18 years, studied sports medicine in College though switch to Communications and Business. Had first weight loss experince at age of 7, had to loose 5lbs inorder to play in age group for little leauge football. Studied accomplish this at the age of 7 also began learning and lifting weights at 9yrs old. Bruce Lee, Arnold, Charles Glass, Charles Staley thanks!
