just did this rapid in june 2010 and since there is so much snow melt, the water is higher and faster, so it was CRAZY!!!

It also helped that they went right of the giant hole at the bottom instead of straight into it. Don't know why they didn't take the left line, which is way cleaner at that flow.

That's a pretty scary rapid! I'm sure the rafters who flipped were not too happy!!
The boat with 4 people did better, probably because of the added mass of the two extra people. Paddling fast helps, but that's not everything.
