My two favorite characters in the game. They have the best projectiles out of all characters (because it's quick and doesn't need to be charged). Link is stronger but Toon Link is much swifter, and that is why I prefer playing as Toon Link. Even in Melee, I preferred Young Link over Link even though they were much more similar in Melee.

i remember seeing this when brawl first came out. i was very impressed by how good these two were. now i've played tons and tons of the game, it's funny how i see so many things they could of done better. but this was a long time ago, and i'm mature enough to criticize them like some other commenters on here.

Toon Link and Link is not inferior to each other at all. It just depends on how the user uses them and what they are weak against.
A Master Link can kill a Master Toon Link, and another Master Toon Link can kill that Master Link.
It just depends on skills. You may think Toon Link is stronger, but it is balanced out by the many other flaws he has, e.g. his lightweight and small sword, not to mention his Up Attack.
In the end, it's personally preference, so don't insult 'em if you don't like it.
Lawl,toon link might be more powerfull,but the amount of skill you need is very low....Link is more skill dependant but if you master him youßll get way better than any toon link ever can...toon link is just a lighter version made for noobs and newcomers..

Obviously you have never seen a good Toon Link with a pro opponent. Most pro people manage to dodge the dair because it's so predictable. If you're on the ground, then dodging it is as easy as dodging kirby's down-b. If you're in the air then you can airdodge, or do some kind of a counter. Whenever I fight against a Link I know that I'm better off not being directly under him.

I was rooting for Toon Link the whole fight, but when I saw that Self-Destruct at 3:40 I was like NO!!! But when Link missed that tether recovery at 4:04 I was like "yes! There's still hope" lol. This was a great Brawl match.
wow, they are both good players, but I just have one critic about the vid and it's that they are both using items like crazy and waiting for a "critical" or more specific: for a moment to connect a powerfull blow, that's why the battle is a bit...."un-fun". Link has: better tilts, better ground game, better aerials, better ZAir, better grabs, better grab reach, better bombs, better reach, better priority, better 'auto-guard', better dmg & better knockback.
TL only has: better recovery, better spin attack, better boomerang, better atk-spd, & better running speed

i think adult link is 19 cuz if u played oot he is 7 yrs older then whn he is a child. and he must be 12 years old when he is a child, same as toon link

also when it said "Teen vs. Kid." Its accully "Adult vs. Kid". Link is 20. not 15. and Toon Link is about 10 -12 i think.
