  • where did you get the new aluminum for the roof?

i'm redoing a camper and need a roof piece

  • @rammsteinfan30 I found a truck body company near home in Aylmer, Ontario, Canada that would order a length of aluminum in a roll for me. It wasn't cheap. I think it was about $700, but I wanted to make sure there weren't any seams in the roof, as that is what caused alot of the rot previously. It was a fair bit thicker than original. The company's name is Wiltsie Truck bodies.

  • Wow, this is an amazing custom job. Thanks for the cool slideshow. Oh, and who is the artist singing? I loved the music as well.

  • @rawmark --- The band is called "Great Big Sea" and the song is called "Ordinary Day." They are from St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.

  • Man,,, thats a great project,,, did you get some therapy?

  • Cool Video and restoration... I had a 1968 Serro Scotty that was the twin to the one in the video.. I bought it, fixed it up, then sold it... Thats been over 8 years ago and i actually saw it this past summer... Amazed me to see it still being used... They're awesome little campers.

  • What's the pink stuff?

  • @akartage -- The pink stuff is 1/2" styrofoam insulation.

  • Nice costom . My friend has a 1987 RV Winnebago in ok shape has some issues but on the road driving. I fix alot of electical problems now all works. We are thinking too costom it with a redneck theam like a Rat Rod without pulling it apart make Dummie Truck pipes going up in the air make it look like comming from the Motor stuff like that.
