ok guys, stop with the "my disciple is better then yours". they are both different and both very demanding when you are try to perform at an international level.
can i ask as a longbower dont you finde it boring using all the bells and wissels hiting the target. have u never tryed and had the thrill of hitting a 100m tartget with a bar bow its so call i got bord with bells and wissles but if you love it keep it up
Well think about this, if you fire a traditional bow twice, even if it is fired in EXACTLY the same way, you will get inconsistencies in the grouping. A compound bow is a masterpiece of precision engineering... it ensures that the bow is highly accurate, meaning that any error is on part of the archer and not the bow. What would be the point in competition if it was mostly down to luck of the draw. Excuse the punn. It means it's all about the skill of the archer and not the luck of the bow.
A compound may be an improved bow, but it is still a bow. I'm not sure of your setup, but it sounds like you probably made your own bow. If not, you are in the same boat as us compound shooters.

As a longbower I can not understand this sterile debate between traditional and compound bows.
In both cases I can see only an arrow in flight and an archer that put all his will and spirit on it.
Just my opinion with all my respect.

bows with wheels? dont call that thing "bow" . I as a longbowman, thinks is a bow derived weapon, but not a bow at all.

It is by all mechanical engineering standards a compound bow.

no matter the bow of choice, it is still up to the archer to hit the target.
Its like racing.. There are classes of cars. Its all in the driver. Master of your own domain.
