it was the third to last punch that cut open harrison and it was lucic that landed the first to jabs harrison's didn't even reach. harrison landed one weak punch that didn't even turn lucic head. lucic was a boxer and a very good one at that. he has great spped and power but he is also accurate with his punches. he does the pull and punch which adds double the force.

A: its not a cheap shot if he's down on one knee, that's not really considered the end of the fight. "He goes down AND THEN covers up". Two different things. B: Lucic cut him before he was down on one knee with the left jab that came through Harrison's jersey. You can see it open up in the replay.

i think they more or less define the term 'homer announcer'. Sure, every team's announcers can come across bias here and there (I mean, as a devils fan, I realize that chico is pretty bad sometimes), but it's gotten to the point where I can't even watch the away games with audio on when the devils play the bruins.
They seem to just spaz, and I'm pretty sure the play-by-play (forgive me, I don't know his name) just has a deep passionate love for lucic. It's sickening to listen to sometimes.

For the record, Harrison was the agitator in this case. Then, after being wailed on, Harrison did collapse a bit but was not being held down by Lucic, meaning that he wished the fight to continue. Harrison would have still been bloody had he been able to stand up to Lucic like a real man, not a Sean Avery-type.

I don't mind admitting (even as a Montreal Canadiens fan) that I love Milan Lucic's game.
The only question mark I've seen concerning his fighting ability is his chin. I've seen just about every NHL fight he's been involved in, and I could count his losses on the fingers of one hand. BUT... of the fights he's lost, he seems to go into shut-down mode when he takes a strong punch. The true heavies can stand in there and take the bombs; Lucic hasn't shown me that yet.
