Dude nice handling and recovery after that impact and the landing. Glad theres not much damage but not for the other guy he was in your airspace. He wasn't paying attention. A nitro powered plane always has the right of way in flight.
I had to order a new canopy, repair the elevator, and repair some fiberglass damage. The great thing about warbirds is that they're supposed to look beat up & weathered. I ended up having to replace the motor. That nose-over on the landing with the 3 blade prop messed it up. Put a Scorpion 4025-16. Flew it again finally on 2-8-09 & it still flies great!
Had ths type of thing happen to a 24in Guillows Super Cub and an Electric jet Cat - - the Jet didn't have a scratch but the Cub's wing was cleanly cut in two. (the cub still flies)
skip to 3:15 for the crash if you aren't the waiting type of person

Wrong, The first/last person flying establishes the circuit. That is an official AMA rule.

Unfortunate Accident. It happens sometimes. Looks like everybody is OK and taking it very sportsman like.
