We have at least 15 complete sets of castings for a 1/4 scale 65 case and a built engine, when you fire it up try to find a blower fan to put on the smoke stack to make false draft or get a 5 foot long toob that will fit in the smoke stack both of those will shorten fire up time
Im on a hunt to find one of these, I have run several of them at fairs but on an annual occasion only. I hope to own one, do you know someone that sells them?
I live in the San Fransisco bay area in northern California. The engine was one of the last Tom Ternning.built, 1/4 scale Case traction engines, Tom was a good friend I do not know if the boiler has a ticket or not? All I know is he said it was ASME built? I am its origional owner, As for its price, I am asking $10,000 US, cash. I can't run the engine anymore as I have moderate COPD and the smoke darn near kills me!
@swamphawk100 WOW! you have a great price cmpared to the other engines I have seen. Sorry but I am only 16 and don't quite have that much money. plus getting the engine here would be an expedition. Thank-you anyways. best of luck with your sale. I am sure you will find a buyer. every engine deserves a good home.
We arent looking to sell the castings yet but eventually
