No doubt alienwares are pretty expensive, but they are sooooooooo worth it, especially the one I have, the Alienware Area 51 750i PC. It looks amazing, almost like alien technology (wonder where it got its name?) and runs so fast I can barely notice that I just went to 564 sites. Amazing.

Alienwares are built rock solid and the quality is amazing. However, just as with every other computer, purchased or home built, they eventually become obsolete. My Area-51 has been running for 6 years now and has only started to really show its age recently. Thats still pretty impressive if you ask me. Not to mention the sweet looking case! ;)

Dell is a ripoff, i built an XPS on thier website with the SAME componenets (or less if the component wasnt availible.) the cost was $4300 compared to my alienware m9700 with the same components came out to $2470

Alienware may offer extreme performance machines, but they wont be cheap.Besides who is going to use all that power anyway. Alienware from what I hear is the best but not from actual customer reviews. I believe alienware spends more time on advertising than actually building the consumer product. Alienware sucks! We paid $7,000 for an Alienware computer not even a year ago and we're THROWING IT AWAY! The RAID system keeps blowing up the computer, we've lost all our data TWICE! Then we sent it back, they "fixed" it and returned it, only to blow up again two weeks later. Alienware refuse to acknowledge it's their problem and won't replace / refund. So it's to the rubbish dump, and we have to fork out for a new computer - rest assured NOT an Alienware one!

The one and Only thing that is prossibly hard to find would probably be the case which doing the math costs a few grand according to Alienware. Tell you what I'll build you a computer exactly the same a an Alienware and only charge you 2/3 of the price.

You know what the funny thing is? My custom built computer has everything listed above and was capable of running all games on the highest setting TOO!
