Stranded is definitely my favourite Roxy album. And this, one of my fave tracks on it. Very under-rated I think.

I used to think so too .... if a little ..morbid ...
But my choice, for certain, will be 'Psalm' by Roxy Music ...... perfect for the occassion .... and a bit more upliftin' !!!

The middle Piano part is just stunning!
This is truly an amazing song. Takes me to a hillside overlooking the Chesapeake Bay whilst the Sun sets over the western shore of the Bay on a warm evening.

@zombiechoir - Yeah, this album and the two that follow are strange listening experiences for me. I love everything about them....but from a distance, somehow. Just the fact that they aren't FYP, maybe? I dunno, early Roxy had a complex sort of suspicion of itself - like a fantasty sans escape. With Eno gone, the real escape begins, and with it comes the gradual slide into being the house band of Thatcher's Parliament, which is what Avalon sounds like. Or something like that...

Oh WOW! Can't believe I've found this so quickly. Haven't heard this beautiful song for many years due to not having a turntable. Takes me right back (when I was young). Thank you so much for uploading.
