This movie and song will always be stuck in my mind....I just remember growing up in Southern California and the girl I was so in love with at the time....Loved the 80's
i hear this before sang by someone eles ? i think it was some 1970's movie i now i hear it again 1980's version one song can all different meanings to me or bring back memeries
I have 1 question,,,,,what the fuck are they both laughing about at the end of the video??? For 30 years I never figured that out!!! Maybe the girl just told him she's HIV positive and he thought it was a joke! Hahahaha
@flyingrv6 they were laughing at the end because they were smoking pot..... In the movie Barney was growing it in the school science lab, that was where the counter was located where they were laying.

@TheRonmaru Filipinos have 80's and love songs like this in their blood. They may listen to hardcore hip hop/rap R&B, heavy rock whatever. Every Filipino has a soft spot in their hearts for 80's. I first watched this movie when I was about 3 or 4 and growing up this scene/song stayed stuck in my memory. I used to listen to R&B/Rap/Hip-Hop growing up but now I'm 100% converted to 80's music/culture. It's the music i was exposed to as a kid and now it's all I listen to. Proud to be an 80's Pinoy.
Love, love this song. Thank you for posting this. I have been wanting to buy a DVD of this song; but I can't find it anywhere. Brings back the good old days.
Let me know where you got the dvd, I would really appreciate it.
"got to believe in magic" was (unexplainably) a huge hit in the Philipines) and written by David Pomeranz, who has written tracks for everyone from Freddy Mercury to Missy Elliot to Donna Summer to Harry Belafonte. and has written songs for movies like Homeward Bound (for which he won an Emmy in 1981,) A Litte Tramp (a 1992 musical about the life of the legendary Charlie Chaplin) and scores of others. there is an easy going charm heard in this song, and was a great choice for this scene.

yes you can hear this song on philippino tv shows too. I noticed that the philippinos are still very much in the 1980's while also living in today.

Read online somewhere. That the kiss was Felice's first time ever on screen kiss, so was kinda nervous, and Scott told her, just be yourself.
