He was our 6th President, he helped to abolish slavery and even turned down a job offered by George Washington as an overseas diplomat so he could stay focused on his home state of Massachussets. I feel the majority of people identify 'Founding Fathers' as those who signed of the Declaration of Independence or were delegates to the Federal Convention which John Quincy Adams was not part of. There are further more specific subsets that John Quincy Adams falls into though.
