Yes, I'm Nat'l Guard but I wasn't a split op. I joined 20th SFG as a REP 63, which is the National Guard's version of the 18X program. So, I went right through training to SOPC and SFAS. Got injured in SFAS and am in training to go back.

Actually, my whole platoon was non 11X. They were mostly medics. There were a few odds and ends like a helicopter pilot, and a aviation repair guy, and my battle buddy was a welder. They've got a whole 'nother BCT at Benning. It's not part of the 11B program. Actually, my cousin's son is at BCT 11B at Benning right now. I saw him at Christmas. It was good to "relive the glory days" with him.
