I thought this whole thing was ridiculous. How many churches are around camberley and it's area? Over 10. And there is this only one Mosque, which is very old & in good need of an update and repair job. They didn't even want to build a whole new Mosque..Just have it repaired. How people think that's asking TOO much beats me. Their new construction plan looks beautiful btw

And the person who was helping to fund this (Jassim Al-Kharafi, so I hear), who is a billionaire. Cant he buy some of the land behind the building if there isn't enough space? Then everyone's happy. This is bascially a triumphalist policy by the ismalic org to basically say FU to the british establishment and build a large imposing mosque within distance from Sandhurst
As an Asian Christian I want to say a little something here. Im glad these plans have been rejected and look forward to more plans being turned down in the near future. As they say "When in rome do as the romans do" If we live in Britain, we should shut the hell up and be British, not try to demolish a school which you are being offered to even worship in. This is a Christian country, not Saudi Arabia. Its sad to see not many of these people are not thankful for what they get, they want more!
Just be satisfied with what you got. stop moaning about the state of the school, you have over £2 million to build a new mosque - do the school up. You are in the UK now respect the way we live or move on out. We don't want Camberley becoming the hub for terroism.
