You have amazing talent and a very interesting process. I mean how you start a portrait by 'building out' from basically a central point instead of an outline of the whole portrait or face. I think that is unusual. Yes? No?

@danhughart Well, have you been watching other portrait artists on YouTube? Because I think it's amazing that lots of them will start out with an eye, completely finish the eye and the skin around the eye w/o touching any other feature on the face, and once they are are done, they will move on to the next eye or nose...etc. THAT to me is crazy! Yes, I started with the eye but you can see I also added some lines and shading for other features before finishing the eye. But I see what you mean....

@danhughart When I was a kid I did the outline of the face first, but as I got better and learned new ways of drawing, I just found that not to be the best way to start because I would always re do it after all the features are in. Plus, I have the features all mapped out first, I wasn't just guessing where each line went. You can't see but I had some light dots and lines showing me where to end the nose and end the chin....etc.

@XkitkatkirstyX What am I leading on? I don't understand this question... Do you mean what kind of paper am I using? If so, I'm using Bristol paper. Pencils are a mix between Straedtler Mars & some other random regular pencils. Lately I have been using only HB, 4B & 6B and I like the turnout. :)

@PacificPastime You're welcome! Hmm, I think to make something look like realistic... I think especialy the shading, it's difficault to see sometimes where you most put dark shading and where not :P

@IrmaZwart1995 Well, if you are drawing from a photo u really have2 use a photo where the lighting is perfect. Meaning good shadows on the face. If you are trying to draw a photo of a person where in the photo there are NO shadows under the nose, eyes, lips , cheeks...etc it will not be that good to draw realistic. But if you still have trouble finding the shadows even when it's a good photo, squint your eyes, and anywhere on the face where you see a DARKER shade of skin...shade it there!

@PacificPastime aha, I think that's a big difference indeed, I always just pick a photo, not looking at the lightning and then draw, but I haven't thought of that yet! Yes ofcourse shadings like that I can see ;)
