As of Tonight (12/17/2011)...Downtown Vincennes nolonger looks like this. =[ It will be missing The Old Gimble building at Main and 2nd and the buildings that were attatched to it. Losing such historic buildings makes me sick to my stomach. =[
Niles Michigan had a fort established on the St Joseph river by the french in 1691 sent by the french from Quebec. I f you look it up Google Fort St Joseph they were here long before Vincennes.
AND I had NO idea how historic The Gimble Corner was....WOW. =[

great historic city,My wife and I walk around the clark memorial for exercise on a regular basis,it is inspiring knowing the history of this area..
