  • I love how they brought in Joan Jett for this scene.

  • Terrence has a beard... O_o;

  • The guy at 2:48 is gonna give himself whiplash

  • Omg a beard. o_O

  • Um...why was Alexa Vega singing in a Broadway show? I thought her acting as Shilo was great, but up until the end, she was one of the least talented vocalists...her voice caught whenever she had to sustain a note.

  • IS THAT TERRANCE?! WITH A BEARD?! HOLY SHIZZNITT! -.- Either way.....I fucking love the guy. *sigh*

  • BEARD. O_O

  • I liked the song and all, but to be quite honest, it didn't really fit the mood. I guess it's sort of a relief scene, but still...

  • I alway though Alexa Vega was really ugly...but when I say this movie I didn't even think it was her...when I found out I was like omg... she looks beautiful with black hair and pale skin...

  • I don't really love this song too much, but I do love the Joan Jett cameo :P

  • I love SEVENTEEN!! It's not my favorite song in the movie but I do love it! This is my favorite song to perform in the shadowcast I'm in. I love the energy...I love the rock n roll.

  • I'd pay Terrenca a whole year of artisitc journeys just to grow a beard. Dress in dark. Look at a camera dead in viewing screen. And say:

    "I AM Jesus."

  • ya know, I found that this song could have been left out...

  • I don't get why people don't like Seventeen. I think it is awesome.

  • @foreverdawn6 I do too! :)

  • I don't know why, but there is something about this song, which makes my toes curl up with embarresment ._.''

  • @cynwal31 lmao what?! why haha

  • TERRANCE???????

  • I liked the song as an individual piece, it was done nicely, however its the only song that doesn't seem to fit the movie... The Punk genre takes away from the "Rock Opera" feel of the movie.

  • I didn't really think it fit in the flow of the story. It's not a bad song, but it doesn't really fit. Take out 17 and put in Try My New Parts.

  • Oh come on guys, give them a break, the song is good and is a good option to complement the soundtrack

  • This is the only song in the movie that I hate. Seriously. Wtf. It sucks. It sounds like something from Avril Lavigne...

  • looking at the title of this channel, i can't help but pronounce it in my mind like

    "re-poop-ra"

  • if joan jett randonly showed up in my room i'd be pumped!! but i guess shiloh wouldnt know who she is becasue she'd prolly be dead by then...lol.

  • I don't know about everyone else but I loved the Seventeen scene. I just thought it was the perfect climax. She's finally fed up with Nathan and she's going to rebel and find out what the world is really like.

  • I know in the movie during 17 Joan Jett had a cameo of her playing guitar...:D

  • I didn't understand this scene. like, at all. i didn't understand the the point of it.

  • @IchigoMitsukai shes tired of being locked in her room forever cuz her dad so she starts saying how shed 17 n shes tired if his shit

  • Terrance should shave. He looks like JESUS.

  • i love this song and the movie i'm addicted to it.

  • I've got nothing against the song... But it's so awkwardly done in the movie that it's just hard to watch.

  • I didn't like 17. At all. I wish it didn't exist.

  • its kinda sad that after she sang this song she had to get b!tch slapped by her father lol

  • hah, I felt it was out-of-place too

  • I think it was cool them having Joan Jett in this!

And, no this wasn't my favourite either, I much preferred Zydrate Anatomy, but I think a punk feel was good for Shilo's mood here, it fit how she felt

  • i have actually grown to love this song. now my least favorite song is the like 5 second song Paris sang "blame not my cheeks" or whatever

  • @notyouraveragething agree bad song, but her face falling off was pretty cool

  • great movie, worst song. the feeking of itr just didnt fit and it was weird. it didnt work. BEST MOVIE EVER THO!

  • When i first heard this song, I really didn't like it...at all... I thought that it was just so out of place, despite the fact that this movie had various music types. Yet after listening to it a couple more times, I grew to love it. It is such a high energy cool song that I feel just needs to be given a chance.

  • classic than re-working the story and taking. See this film @ MovieWatcher (.) US

  • There are few sounds as satisfying as Shilo getting slapped :)

  • I thought this was one of the most outta placed songs in this movie.

  • Awesome, I have just watched this movie, it was very good - i really enjoyed it.. check out [ hd-movieMnet ](change M to a dot)

  • I think its fucking horrible that they dont even mention Joan Jett in this scene? :S

  • The only thing bad about this movie.

  • Seventeen isn't one of my favorite songs from Repo so when she got slapped at the end everytime I watch it I think, "Good!! That shut her up!" Alexa Vega is a good singer but does not sound good in this particular song

  • Look closely and you'll notice that the stuffed animals in Shilo's room are also singing the song!

    HAHAHA!

  • then he gives her a good smack

i swear i laughed so hard when he did that

  • why

  • i wasnt expecting it, and the way it just ends the song so fast

    i just found it funny

  • Dude look at T with a beard...Amazing...and no mention of Joan Really!?

  • 2:21 she's so cute

  • I don't love this song, but I admire the work and visuals in it, and I love that line- "Daddy's girl's a fucking monster!"

  • This is the worst song in Repo! The rest are totally amazing though

  • @DaftishPunk i totally agree

  • And they forgot to mention the appearance of Joan Jett as Shilo's guitarist

  • I thought that was Grave Robber who came out during her song. lol Guess I was wrong!

  • and why the fuck would ANYONE forget to mention joan jett?!

  • Shilo was in Hairspray??? As what??

  • She was Penny for a little while.

  • she was in the broadway version as Penny.

    She wasn't in the movie.

  • ScreamingInternally, if you listen to the audio commentary on Repo, you'll hear Alexa say that she was in New York working on the Broadway version of Hairspray when she got the message to audition for Repo.

  • I like this song. I think Alexa was awesome during this scene.

  • omg i am in love with the grave robber ahhh sexy man hehe love this movie

  • XDD HAHAH! Graverobber! X3

  • favourite part is the bitch slap at the end

  • terrance with a beard ..what do yall think..i like it..but take down the ponytail ..lol

  • to be truthful; i dont like this song; like at all. im obssessed with the movie though!

  • @AprilxKennedyxoxo yeah, this song KIND OF sucks ass.

  • @sloaneVLOGS Totally agreed. It doesn't fit at all. It starts and you're like "Ehhh..." and then Joan Jett shows up and you're like "Hmm..." buuuut her awesomeness doesn't distract you long enough for you not to remember "Yeah, this song is lame."

  • @AprilxKennedyxoxo It just doesn't fit with the rest of the songs. I agree.

  • @AprilxKennedyxoxo Well if you look at the story as a sort of coming-to-age movie which it is(even if it really really doesn't) the song fits perfectly it's just the tune that doesn't work that well. If that was changa i think more people will like it/ :)

  • @AprilxKennedyxoxo I agree. I feel like it's very out of place. I understand what they were trying to do with it, but I don't think it fits at all.

  • HOLYCRAP that's Terrance isn't it?! Amazing how much a beard can make you look like Jesus.

  • @brightnovembercab with OR without the beard...he is better than jesus

  • @brightnovembercab I KNOW RIGHT?!

  • @brightnovembercab Terrance is Jesus...

  • @prosaicpseudonym He's also Graverobber.

  • is this on the dvd? i cant find it.

  • soo is this a movie in theaters or a live musical?

  • both but this video is about the movie. this movie is kinda like hairspray cuz its a brodway and a mvoie but repo is alot more badass and dark.

  • Seventeen is actually one of my favourite songs in the movie...

  • god, this movie is the greatest in the world, but this song... waaaay too hannah montana for me. i really hate this scene.

  • You've got to admit, though, if Hannah Montana sang this song you'd listen to her more often. I certainly would, her songs suck so far :P

  • I really didn't like this song to begin with- but I grew to love it!

  • This song ... it sounds like an ADHD-stricken Avril Lavigne on LSD

    o.o

  • haha i love your comment!

  • : )

    it's true though!

  • Best film ever!!!!

  • Really, the only thing that I liked about this part in the movie was the random Joan Jett.

    She makes everything cool haha

  • Great song, got chills hearing Alexa sing it with piano!

  • well most people i know dont like this song but i like it. its my 3 most favorite in the movie.

  • I love the ending of this song.

DADDYS GIRL'S A FUCKING MONSTER *smack*

    XD

  • *smack!*

    WHOSE YOUR DADDY , BITCH?

haha , thats all i could think.

  • Well I liked this song... thought it made sense...

huh, whatever though people have their own opinions

  • WOW.....Terrance with a beard...thats....different lol. Took me a second, knew his voice right off but it took a second for the look to sink in. Still, somehow sexy. I prefer to be able to see most of his face though lol.

  • i loved it i think it depicted a teenager more, which was the theme of that particular scene.

alot of things in this film was random.

  • I had to look away when this song came on lol

  • i believe this song was made for shilo bc it was a "fuck the world. im done with all this drama." basically shilo getting over everything.

but yes...this song was lame...nd it didnt fit.

they couldve put it in a different way.

  • Worst song of the entire film.

  • Agreed.

  • I don't like it that much either. But my least favorite I think had to be Mark it Up.

  • that was awesome, you kiddin' me! it explains a lot! the quarrel between the kids!

  • lol yeah i like the meaning of it, but i just hate the way it sounds.

  • omg that's one of my favorites lol

    it's so catchy D:

  • LOL AND I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THOUGHT THIS SONG WAS SO OUT OF PLACE

I was just kinda "what.." when it was over. So random and just Idk, didn't fit. Plus I didn't like the song at all either.

Loved the movie, but I felt this song should've been edited out in exchange for Needle into a Bug or Come Up And Try My New Parts.

  • I'm sorry to say this but, I really didn't like her one song "Seventeen".It just didn't go with the flow to me.But i loved all the other songs.

  • This song was very different, but in a way I think it really added to the movie because of that. This movie kept moving, changing, and that song brought it back to the point that Shiloh is still a teenager even though she's dealing with such heavy issues. She acts older than she is throughout the film, this reminds you she's an independent teen.

  • Very well put. =]

  • this song actually made me want to slap her haha. not to hate just the "hey hey hey" things I found real annoying

  • eh...i think this song really detached you from the whole experience. it really, in my own opinion, didn't fit the movie.

  • yeah, I just found this song annoying as hell

  • Terrance looks oddly like Jesus here.

  • No. I didnt like this scene in the movie. It didnt fit and it took me out of the movie expirence :| Even though there is a reason the song is there (rebelling blablabla) I didnt like coming back to reality and knowing I was watching a movie.

  • 2 words

    JOAN JETT

  • With his beard, Terrance looks just like my tattoo artist.

  • LOL@Terrance' beard.

  • I think this song is great! Its Shilo finally rebelling against Nathan and what better way to rebel than with punk rock and a somewhat revealing outfit? I especially love that they got Joan Jett to play the guitarist for the 17 sequence.

  • The one thing I didn't like about this song is the end, when Nathan slaps Shilo, and how the camara just kind of cuts back to reality so harshly. I thought they should have let it kind of fade back into reality, you know? But I love this song! I play it all the time when I'm mad at my parents lol.

  • i agree. and the butt slapping was disturbing to.

  • not the best song in the film, but the scene itself was a good kick in the teeth, invigorating after the more mystique elegant feel of Chase the Morning. Could room ever scream as much energy as a punk song? ONLY IN REPO! :D

  • omg it sounds awesome on the piano

  • LOL

    Is anyone watching the video?

There is a reason the song is in there.

    Thats all that matters.

  • I loved this song in the movie :)

  • I think... I think this might be the worst song in the whole movie, next to the song Bill Mosely sang with that weird faced dude.

  • why did you comment if you dont like it?

  • Well, I loved the movie as a whole. I just didn't like this song. I thought everyone was entitled to their opinion...

  • yeah, you're entitled to your opinion, but I think it's a little rude to comment with only that you think this is the worst song in the movie, without adding even the slightest bit of positive feedback, it makes someone think you commented JUST to flame instead of as someone who genuinely likes the movie and appreciates the effort of people uploading the behind the scenes is all.

  • I do apologize, I didn't mean to sound rude. I thought the movie was amazing, and I like the behind the scenes stuff, it's all very interesting. But I suppose there isn't a single musical/opera that doesn't have a weak song or two. I suppose I should have said that before, instead...

  • If you'd said that before, I would have beyond agreed. I liked the song, but I felt that based on the other songs in the movie it felt a bit out of place, but was a pretty good song overall.... and Im sorry for misinterpreting.

  • Dinkba & Sakuyababy: I think that was the honestly most maturely-handled disagreement I have ever seen on youtube comments. People usually leap all over flaming each other.

I agree with both of you, though. The song's ok, but not quite as awesome as the rest of the soundtrack. But if this song is the worst the soundtrack has to offer, then that just shows how good the whole thing really is. :D

  • thank you very much lol..... I'm not one to yell and scream at people over the internet just for disagreeing with me. Thank you kindly. I agree with you... I think this song was just.... out of nowhere in the movie, sort of. Because the entire movie is harsher opera rock. Then suddenly a punk song, out of nowhere. lol.... maybe that causes the disdain?

  • then you didnt get the movie or what they were trying to accomplish with this song. a locked up teenaged girls attempt at punk and rebellion...which makes it PERFECT. and dont ever talk shit about pavi...its a weird song but again, the point of their roles...i LOVE pavi and oghr's performance. more pavi i say!

  • Why are you talking shit to people who obviously love the movie? Being an elitist and sneering that you simply GET the movie better than other people makes you look like nothing but a snob. I have no reason to continue any form of discussion with you, do not attempt to comment back, for it will be in vain. You merely made yourself look like an ass. Have a delightful day.

  • I completely agree. Minus the whole "Mark It Up" comment. Although Bill Mosely's acting in that song was terrible.

The movie was great, however. Just this song didn't seem to fit, at all. It was super angsty and just really.. stereotypical and annoying.

  • Oh lord, I LOVE Bill Mosely. And his voice is pretty nifty. But again, I just thought it was one of the weaker songs.

As for what Presh said, I DO understand what they were trying to accomplish with that song, thank you. M'not that stupid. Doesn't mean I have to -like- the song. Here we were, having a civil conversation, and you had to come about trying to stir up a shit storm. That seems kinda immature to me. Take your drama elsewhere, please and thank you.

  • its a march release for uk... 9th march ok xx

  • HAHAHA to the guy who said it would be out in march...yeah jan 20th buddy..bought it the day it came out..go get it brutha!

  • I liked this song. It rocks! lol

  • this song was made rough and punk because punk music is mainly about rebels and even if it doesn;t 'fit in well' or 'you dont like it'

it makes sence to have it tht way since she's rebeling

  • Bleh. Least favorite song.

  • This song defines, coming of age!

    it Totally ROCKS to boot.

  • I really didn't think this song "fit into" the movie very well. Don't get me wrong, I love Alexa's singing voice...but this was the 2nd worst song in the movie. "Mark It Up" being the first, in my opinion.

  • yeah same here. I noticed that in the movie there were moments when they would sing the dialogue rather than just speak it which totally killed the mood of the scene.

And this scene just was so random with all the colors, that it just didn't fit.

  • Um...

    It's called an OPERA.

There IS no speaking in an opera.

  • Touche, but they did speak some dialogue during the film

  • Most operas have a few random spoken lines, usually done for dramatic effect. but, like, 98% of the dialogue is meant to be sung.

  • thats why is not ur parents opera (:

  • Ahhh... got it. Too bad none made it though. That would've been some great press on their part and opened up for a bigger audience too. Not to mention after last year's suck fest of Enchanted and August Rush nominations, I'm really hoping that this year's selections are better. Once was good tough...

  • They WOULD have made it, but for some reason this year, the category was cut from five songs to three.

    Gee, I wonder why.

  • Ugh, that is such bull. I bet it was because they figured something like the ratings went down during some of the musical numbers. I don't know, how about nominating some actually good and compelling pieces from time to time?

  • "Three of the songs are in the running for an Academy Award"

Sorry Konjammenson. As much as I liked the songs from Repo! too, not a one was nominated for an Oscar. Only 3 nominations for best song this year and one is for Wall-e while the other two are both from Slumdog Millionaire.

  • um am sry I love this movie with my heart, but this song ugh not that great with the movie am sry :(

  • Lionsgate refused to distribute it because it is a ROCK OPERA, not because it is a horrible movie. Seeing as how lionsgate likes to spew out this weeks 'scariest movie, like, everrr!', and Repo is actually orignal, so they were most likely scared that their normal audience (twenty-something guys who want to seem "hardcore" because they can name too many bad horror movies and the woman who 'love'them.)wouldnt enjoy something that hasnt been done before.

  • whoa terrance's face! i like it when more of it shows. :)

  • fucking monster sounds way hard core its so much better for the scene coz it gives it edgieness instead of just kiddie rock thing the swareing will take it all the way haha

  • am i the only one who also fell in love with the piano version of the song, at 2:09?

i wish they've recorded this version also, i LOVE the "hey hey hey" part!

  • I love how the crew was rocking on behind the camera!

Gawd, that must have been a fun scene to shoot!

  • cant believe they didn't mentino fucking JOAN JETT making an appearance halfway through the song...

  • is this ever gonna be in kenosha?

  • I haven't hear anything good about this film, but it looks really interesting. I'd rent it.

  • This film was designed from the start to be a cult film, so trust me... if it were to have received good reviews... I wouldn't have watched it.

  • The movie was only relseaed in ceratin areas. I dont blame them, I believe that it was relseaed that way so that the true fans can stay ture. Im pretty sure the creators didnt want it to be something that could be turned 'huge' or 'big' over night.

  • See the comments from seesoccer, from earlier. The studio refused to distribute it. Bousman and Zdunich are promoting it by way of tour, and they wish it could reach more people at a time but they like what's happening with it. :) Bousman said the test audience reacted so badly that the execs actually said "Don't worry, we'll save you the embarrassment and make sure nobody else sees this film." Well... I've seen it... it blew my mind. XD

  • I know, Repo's amazing!

Can't believe they didn't want to show it...

    LOL

  • Actually they has been a huge movement from the creators for it to be in as many theaters as possible. It was origanlley going to be only a straight to DVD release, which they have been fighting as much as possible

  • Worst song in the whole movie.

  • no mark it up is

  • I thought mark it up was pretty amusing ^.^

  • does anyone know if it will be released to the UK? or at least a DVD coming out?
