orbital did this track. madonnas vocals they used. more madonna didn´t do here. so its not ok to give her all the credits for the music. also her other songs on ray of light and other albums mostly are made by other artists. the one madonna music composer is the one from massive attack and the other one is william orbit but again you must understand that not madonna makes the rules but her executive producer and co-directors and they also need to do what others above them tell them to do.

The close-up image of her eye with the 6 vertical objects in front of it is taken from a Dario Dargento film called Opera. From Wiki: "The killer binds and places tape under the victim's eyelids with needles attached so she is unable to blink, and therefore forced to watch as the murders take place." Dunno if MLVC is an Argento fan or the person who made the vid is but it's a very dramatic visual image. (The song remix is pretty dam good, too.)

I admire how she gave Orbital proper respect; when she commissioned them for the remix project they told her they wanted her back in the studio to redo some od the original lyrics, and she readily agreed. Not every pop star would think it worth their time to re-cut from scratch just for a remix, but she's a smart woman who knew back then and knows today that Phil and Paul Hartnoll are real-deal, straight-up dance music gods.

I love this version! Full of meanings! The horse was chosen because he's fierce, beautiful and graceful all at the same. The director said it was the best animal to represent the "other" side of Madonna. In Cabala, the light is the source of everything, so both Madonna and the horse are running to find the light and finally become "one".
