Finally they hit it on the english dubbed voices! I know a lotta people hate dubs because the english actors just don't sell it like the japanese, and it takes a lot of searching (that some just don't do too well) but there are many times where you'll get the right people to do it. These days I'm sure they know they can't afford to get it wrong so they spend more time searching for better voice actors.

I agree that most people say the english dubs are bad because they've seen the subbed version first but I will say that there are a lot of dubs out there that are really bad. Perfect example is the Crest/Banner of the Stars series. The english dub is absolutely horrendous. Not only do the VAs not fit the characters, they sound way too old.

I would rather they never made Unicorn by this point in the show, a Crossbone anime would have been more called for. Unicorn's novel only ended 2-3 years before it started (I'm fairly certain, maybe a year later) so it was too soon to try to make this into an OVA. I dislike benagher because to this moment he has zero reason to be sitting in the cockpit of any machine.

@CyberSlayer128 that is true, and i haven't seen the smallest will to fight either he merely reacted to his emotions and his machine did the rest, it's pretty much like seed where every character is a pacifist pretty boy starting with Kira who doesn't know that to a warrior is more humiliating to be spared then to die in the heat of battle so he disabled the mobile suit but spared the pilots. That's one thing that bothers me in Gundam...

Bandai has specifically said AGE is aimed at a younger audience, thats why they teamed up with level 5 to do it. even then that trailer was quite tame, the only death was the implied death of his mother, the rest was just some robot dragons shooting off-screen. not exactly an imminent apocalypse.

It means when your main crowd gets to old for your products you go to a younger audience to join the main crowd like in G, Seed, and now age. And about the trailer i saw civilians get vaporized. Spoiler alert! Don't read! Besides knowing from the novel that Full frontal isn't the real Char but a clone. Guess how else you can figure it out? in the end of 0079 Lahlah asked Char to start wearing a pilot suit. Si in the next series of Gundams he did in fact wear a pilot suit to honor Lahlahs request. Also, Char stopped wearing a mask. In MSG Z he did wear sun glasses but in Chars Counter attack he did NOT wear a mast.. That is another way you can tell this is a clone. Or a cyber new type.

The characters, story, action, and themes all make it a very entertaining show, which is really all it needs to be. It's not perfect and it certainly has a lot in common with Gundam, but I don't see a need for comparing the two since they both do their jobs well at the end of the day.

The timeline of the original series has been expanded alot, known as the Universal Century timeline (Wiki it) this series in the video (Unicorn) is the newest installment, but Gunam F91 (made in the 80's~90's) goes the farthest into the timeline. If what I said makes no sense then just research both "Mobile Suit Gundam" and "Universal Century" on Wikipedia
