i have one of these, fantastic radio but it produces a lot of heat at the side the microphone plugs into at the back if you look inside there's three components that attach to the chassis it has to be one of these that's heating up/ does anybody know if this can be rectified?

The frequency counter connects to the rear left of the transceiver via a connector. From funky monkey, the manic depressive of Manchester Uk.

just for info-the biggest solar flare was recorded on 4th november 2003 with a double peak in that cycle.Awesome dx in 2004.I used to work a station in Midland, Austalia most days on 26mhz with just a Lincoln running 20w into A99 from Northern England ;) would love to get back on 11m but dont know what radio to chose ?
