I remember seeing Van Hansis, who plays Luke Snyder on As the World Turns, during an interview. He was asked whether or not he feared being typecast as gay and not getting any future acting jobs. I just thought how ironic it was that Ryan Phillipe never got hurt by playing gay in his first major acting role. It kinda makes you think?!
