How do these jazz masters earn a living? I know that they must play a myriad of gigs, but with all the travel and a jazz market that's not that lucrative it must be a true labor of love.
That's why they play the way they do, and why we need to support them when we have the chance. I don't know what the hell I would do without the existence of such great and inspiring musicians!
