Wow, I'm chinesee, and I play basketball. but this video really means a lot to me because im learning something from it too. :) Jeremy Lin is my inspiration. <3
You know.. americans expect more out of us asian cuz of the stereotype to be successful. Why is that? That's really hard on us asian americans cuz we are raised differently. But, if you put your heart and mind to it, you can do anything no matter if you're asian or not.
Great Stuff. Hey if anyone's looking for high quality stitched jerseys for $35 come check us out. We recently added Jeremy Lin's jersey to our stock for $35! Don't miss out. trendmestore . com
Funny thing is...even if Basketball didn't work out, the dude graduated from Harvard. He'd still be alright. Haha. Glad he made it to the NBA though.
First saw him during Summer League. I'm from D.C. Metro area, so I gotta show love for the Wizards, but I felt that Lin played a bit better than Wall a few times. Been a fan ever since.
@IHateGFW As a Korean Australian, I am proud of you - but I am most proud of being Asian because to other nationalities - we all look the same - that is the power of being ASIAN - we are UNITED!
@IHateGFW as a human im proud of j lin who gives a shit about ethnicity his morale personality is what everyone looks up to just bc j lin is of chinese origgin every human is UNIQUE o one should look at jeremy and say "oh he is chinese that means if a chinese does what he does they will make it to the legue and/or have sucess that equivalent to jeremy's we are all human race does matter the human race should be less ignorant EVERYONE IS UNIQUE LETS GO KNICKS YEA NY
The Lin Era of hoops is about to begin. Jeremy's got everything: game, intelligence, an Ivy League education, proper speech and proper English (not that non-sense street-talk), and great role-modelling. Jeremy ! Add oil !! and Represent what a true Asian superstar should be !!!
@eunseam What ?! So, what if it is ? Jeremy is a highly-educated, scholarly person, and as such, does not engage in the gibberish that a lowly-educated person would normally use. He doesn't follow that culture, which is a good thing. He speaks like a person with an Ivy League education would: highly-articulate and highly-intelligent.
@samuraiyao What did I tell y'all. Here's another prediction tho, like it or not: WITHIN 35 years (yes, in this 21st century), the #1 language in the world will be Mandarin, (English will fall to #2), and the young 300-yr. old garbage u.s. culture will come to a complete end, BOOK IT !!!
@wludundee On the contrary, my friend, there is quite a lot I DO know about my ancestral homeland. Please stop your generalizations about people if you don't really know who they are. And you also need to stop spreading cultural propaganda coz you're only adding to the stereotype of how the world perceives Chinese people. Just STOP IT !!!
@wankstankonia LOL ! Thanks, but I don't think of myself as a prophet. Just a history buff who happens to look at historical trends very carefully. Let me emphasize: if you look throughout mankind's history, you will see that every strong period of any particular empire has an AVERAGE duration of about 200 - 500 years before they go bust. A previously strong empire will also be at rock bottom for approx. the same pd of time. The US has enjoyed power for about 250 yrs now. U can guess the rest.
Ugh i have to find my real passion still. I'm doing Electrical Engineering but I'm always keeping my eyes and ears open for something that I may have more success in. I don't like EE per se, but as I see it right now it's my "best option" in terms of making money and having a stable job. My dream, I suppose, would be being a professional chef by day and professional DJ at night, but that seems a bit far-fetched, eh?

@fungwan2006 Jeremy's awesome! However, it's important to note that that "nonsense street-talk" is also a culture right? That's what I think...
