@lupzhero I disagree. You can always tape up the wrist and use your forearm. Without your hamstrings or quads you can't move, loop, transfer energy into the ball, bend low, serve properly, etc etc. A lot of people take for granted how much a proper table tennis player uses their legs. Aside from possibly a back injury, injuring your leg is the worst injury I know of.
seems like he can't stomp his left feet too hard.in previous match against ma lin, there's a time he kinda injured his knee or something when he jumped/stomp.
@pokemon17007 That's a more easier to use knee brace. A lot of injuries to the knee are from the tendons around it and the acl itself. So by tightening them to the bone the knee doesn't inflict pain.
@Volsfan21Pushing to inhuman extreme limits while training like them takes its toll sometimes. Probably his leg's muscle got overworked or something ... dunno.
@Volsfan21 he could have easily strained it some other day and just reaggravated something. It takes more agility to play table tennis at this level than ping pong with some hard bats.
@Volsfan21 You don't know how much they train. You say you play ping pong til 4AM every night so I'm assuming you start playing at or around midnight. So that leaves around 4-5 hours I'm guessing that you play at maximum. Zhang will play that much in drills alone, not to mention cardio, weight/flex training, agility training with suspension cables and medicine balls. And that's just in one day's work. He does several other things all for 60+ hours a week. Nuff said?
Two of my favorite players... That's really too bad :( Hopefully, Zhang will heal quickly from whatever this injury is. Well-wishes to the World Champ!
@LookB3hindU Thanks for the info. Is there really a list that keeps track of injury status of players? If so, please direct me to it. It's a bit of information I like to keep track of such as in cases like Michael Maze's and Ma Long's last year. Thanks :)
zhang jike got injured in first set 4:3 point, n he could still play until 20:18 without moving using his offense in both wings.... damn lol really sad zhang is the best player in league imo right now considering age potential skills mentality
timo win loss ratio is 8:6 not looking good really, noticable wins: chenqi, yan an, fang bo, losses: zhangchao zhangjike fangbo wanghao...
Has Timo Boll won any matches prior to this? I feel as if he has lost everything with great margin, like that 3-0 match against Fang Bo. How did he manage to get to the finals still? =P
And a shame with Jike's injury. That might be the reason Timo managed to play way more accurate than lately: the tempo was just more relentful.
@SSJ5VegetaV4 this isnt singles, its a league, hes in a team called czb, they play 5 games and the overal score from each game played decides who wins, if u watch till end u see the team overal scores, timo boll did bad for his team but his teamates won most of the games,i dont know if u misunderstood or u already know but meh timo isnt playing well at all but his teammates are winning their games meaning his team is in the finals
China can not stay preventing their players from injuries...they train so much and their road to the top is so heavy that there are some players that get injured. Ma Long has been injured, Ma Lin's back, now Zhang Jike...
The way Zhang Jike spread his legs are so sexy! I want to hold him and kiss every inch of his hot body!

All table tennis players need their lower bodies and legs to drive the ball up
Zhang's injury prevented from doing any of that
Nearly as bad as injuring your playing wrist

@TonyVictor96 oh yeah definitely im so sorry

@Volsfan21 ping pong is hitting a ball with a wood paddle and making it go ping-pong
table tennis is a real sport with tactics equipment practice etc
TonyVictor96 6 months ago
@Volsfan21 back injuries are common since u really are in a bad stance for your back.
you can not compare professional training at this level with ours :)

@SSJ5VegetaV4 The finals is based by team I believe not personal efforts. When you check the scores you can see the match ups from two categories.
