They are friends since a long, long time. Baez referred to Ian as "my baby" when she presented her a grammy in the 70s. Ian writes in her autobiography how much Baez means to her.

A bird should be in a tree, not stuck in a chimney! Maybe that explains it. Of course power does not mean good or great. But a great voice can sing very soft and still be heard. She also has the most sensitive voice but I'm sure this is something you are not aware of.

Try listening to a song called "The Love Inside" from her "Children of the 80's" album / CD...French release. 50 years in the business and over 60 albums, maybe you should do your home work. I listened to it, it's just as screechy as all the other stuff. Longevity and lots of recordings doesn't mean someone is "good" just well promoted, look at Babara Steisand for example. What "negative" comments do you refer to? I certainly have said nothing negative about Joan because as I said I love her. All I have tried to do is point out that this is a public forum and the Birdman has every right to express his opinion in it, if you disagree then that's up to you.
