See, the worst part of this for me isn't even her voice, which is brilliant and very theatrical and perfect for live theatre, but it's that damn flesh covered leotard she's wearing. It's too loose and that big hole in the back is awful. Bad costume designer. And I wish she was doing more with her face, because I'm just not sure how well it'd play to people past the first few rows.

i took my 6 and 4 y/o niece and nephew to this. i showed them the movie before and during they were oh is she ariel? i was say yes thats her. and during the transformation they absolutely loved it they thought it was the coolest thing in the world. the joys of being a kid :)

I love how everyone is trying to point out what she did wrong. If every actor did every character the same that would be stupid. She didn't do anything wring and isn't missing anything....she just did something DIFFERENT than what you expected. I think this is amazing. If you don't want things to be different than an original, don't watch an adaptation. You'll be sorely disappointed.

well ive never seen this show and this is the first of anything ive seen from it and now i really want to see it, just a few things i noticed though were how much darker the song seems in the play than in the movie and of course the fact that in her costume she cant move around as much as ursula in the movie now as for the performance i liked it but it felt like something was missing, of course im a harsh judge since little mermaid is my favorite disney, but i did like it, its just not the movie
