hi bro yesterday i bought the same mixer as yours,,,but when i started recording ,,i could hear the effects only when the headphones ar connected to the mixer,,but on the software the sound is normal without any effects,,,,so plz i believe u have more experience ,if u can give me advices how to add the digital effect to logic pro ,it's the 1st time i use a mixer ,,,
Thanks for the great tutorial! I'm asking students to take a look at this and pause the video to try and anticipate what you'll be explaining. Cheeeeezy background music but good content. I appreciate it!
how do you control the gain on the channels that dont have a gain knob for example channels 5/6 i have the yamaha mg10/2 mixer.. and is it better to record with a low gain and high level output or a higher gain and a lower level output?
Hey man, Thanks for the Video. The video is very simple and easy to understand and I appreciate you posting it. Best of luck and I will definitely keep watching your videos.
i have a Allen & heath system 8 mixing desk from 1983. its a amazing mixing desk but whenever i connect it with my Digidesign 003. it shows some noise . can someone help me out with background white noise
@snrose2002 try check your cables to see if that is causing the buzzing!! Unplug one cable and see if the noise is still there.. Continue to check this method with all the cables to see if it is a cable problems... It could be as simple as that.. Let me know if that solves the issue....
Yr a great communicator and teacher. Could you explain the different Logic EQs and how you approach eq-ing sounds , low pass, parametrics and high pass etc ?
thanks for the video ! i have a question i have my korg going via USB into my mac into logic and it records fine but once i unplug the korg the recording from it does not play. it still shows it but now sound from that track . can you help ? thanx
Hey Adam, great video once again, very informative.
I have a basic mixer and I want to record some vocals into logic 9. Please can you do a video on how to record live audio on logic 9, and how to get a clean and professional sound quality? I'm using a standard white mac book with the line in, and a basic mixer similar to what you have in this video.
You can get a clean sound out of any board. You just got to get the right amount of your pre-amp in there and the right EQ'ing. Some people don't like to EQ at this stage but I feel it makes the job easier when it comes to mixing. This board is actually a rental, I didn't have a board around and needed to get one. I will definitely make more videos with different consoles and the process of recording live audio. If you have any questions, let me know.....
