  • gimme my manthras x_x

  • any1 know where i can buy this game? i've wanted it for soo long... u.u"

  • what is the difference between a moon and sun Miqo'te? and how does it affect your stats? ple3ase helpo somebody thankyou :)

  • Do you have monthly fee in FFXIV? i want it so ^^ LOVE FINAL FANTASY! =3

  • @Grimmclaw720 No monthly fee right now. Honestly that's what brought me back to playing it. Square, for now, keeps extending the "30day trial". So in reality it's F2p until later

  • is this worth picking up?

  • can you also customize the clothes?

  • whats the whole moon/sun/guardian bit at the end about do they affect your stats

  • I was like "WTF where is the fisher option?!". But then I saw there were only 4 choices on the "hand", so are some classes limited to certain races?

  • @Jussimania nah, this video was made during the beta tests so not all the classes had been added.

  • 4:03-4:10 Back to the Future! Holy shit!

  • mine wont look like that. hair 3 FTW =P

  • mithra hair 6 was the most popular in FFXI.. looks to be the same in FFXIV lol idm I plan on having my miqo'te look like my FFXI character with my own personal taste. :)

  • Can you pick the color of you tail this time?

  • How does choosing disciples of the land or hand work? You can't exactly kill monsters very effectively as a weaver, does choosing that class limit you to just crafting?

  • @Mekose Nah you're not stuck at all. Say you want to start as a Blacksmith. Creating items will actually net you experience and you'll level up both your physical level as well as your blacksmith level. And say you decide you don't like it as much as you thought you would. Not a problem, simply buy and equip a sword and BAM you're now a gladiator :) Unlike most other MMO's your one character can be any and every job if you so choose. You are never stuck with your decision.

  • Where's the male option.... Blast it!

  • @Scott97169

Miqo'tes, like Mithra from FFXI, are playable (as far as I know) as females only. I believe the same is true for Roegadyn (Galka, from FFXI) except for males.

  • @HeroicEdge i wish they had males because its known in the storyline that there are male mithra in ffxi, but they are RARE ... thats how the mithra have offspring to begin with, right? Or are they asexual? Regardless, there ARE male mithra or manthras lol. I wish they allowed us to play as them this time :( but they didn't...

  • @Takiado it said the males lead solitary lives away from cities

  • @HeroicEdge

I think Square Enix should add male Miqo'tes since it's the most popular race at the moment? I don't play the game, waiting for the ps3 version, but in all the videos I've seen there's a lot of miqo'tes and it would be really nice if they could add a male version. I think it would be really popular.

  • @HeroicEdge is this on PS3? If so then i will get this on PS3 for the pure fact that i will play it more if its on my PS3 ( even though i run my pc and my console on the same screen :P )

  • @killer6468

It will be available for the PS3 next year. I believe the current release date for the PS3 is sometime in March.

  • @Maharoba

it's 13$ per month for 1 character and 1 retainer character

each addition character costs 3$ and each retainer costs an additional 1$

this is done to prevent hackers from hording a bunch of items on one account

  • @RakeBone

    i knowwwwwwwwww

read the comments before you post

  • @Maharoba

lol I'll just remove the comments so people stop responding to it, Maharoba. No worries.

  • @HeroicEdge

lmao, thanks. i appreciate the actual footage by the way. do they have any elezen/roegadyn creation videos similar to this?

  • @HeroicEdge

dude i was responding to was making 3 alts.. thats why i said it..

  • @Maharoba They already stated it's ~$13, $3 per extra character and $1 per extra retainer

  • @poeticpicture

I know that. Look at the person I was responding to. He said he was going to make like, 3 alts. Everyone responded to my comment like I was bashing this game, no.. I'm going to play it. Im not going to have more than one char though.

  • @Maharoba $12.95 my friend but since I'll be making 2 more chars and 2 mules as well than yea I'll probably be paying around $20 worth which isn't bad considering I allready get $20 A WEEK as my allowance so.... I'm good....

  • i hope that they put more hair styles and stuff in the final game or dlc or something

  • Thank you sooo much! I was dieing to know what a Miqote weaver looked like! If you could, could you show me how the dye system works for clothes?

  • oh and just so people know there are vids of Elezen (Elvaan) and Hyur (Hume) character creation, the stuff is in japanese except for the title but there are vids for each race, gender, and clan character creations O.o so look for them and you will find them, they were all done by the same person so it should be pretty easy to find them... Oh and sry I ment Keepers of the Moon not Followers =P my bad I forgot the name of their clan xD

  • I'm going hair style 7, blonde, no marks or anything on face (probably), archer, yea my Miqo'te is going to be different lol, I'm gonna make her look like she's from some sort of royal family, oh and she's gonna be a seeker of the sun with blue and green eyes =P lol I'm also gonna make a male elzen wildwood that resembles my main on FFXI and a male Lalafell that resembles my other char from FFXI, and then 2 mules, most likely a Hyur male and a Miqo'te Follower of the Moon(?)

  • hello, does the birthday you choose for your mithra or its god do anything yet in beta? =^.^=

  • fuuck 99% of Miqo'te are gonna look exactly like this...

  • @chunknug

Maybe the same hair style, but not the same color, highlights, and gear :P I've seen many Miqo'te that have managed to pull off very nice, unique styles ^^

  • @chunknug so true hahahaha

  • @chunknug Not me! I hate that hairstyle >.<

  • @poeticpicture lol! same here XD

Not to insult Edge, but i hate it too =P

  • Thanks for doing this, I wanted to see how where the sun seekers.

  • BEspiked I agree 100 percent I wannna see Elezen most of all because thats who I know I'm gona choose from jump street.. but i have yet to see anything from that race as far character creation

  • @Mtizzal

I'll make one today if I can get on :)

  • not everyone is going to play damn miq'ote! im so tired of seeing character creation videos, with nothing but this race... HUME MALE NOW! ELEVAN MALE NOW! ggggeez!

  • @iBEspiked

These videos were made for a friend, not for the general public. Sorry :P Send me a message though, and maybe I can fill one request.

  • @iBEspiked I agree 100 percent I wannna see Elezen most of all because thats who I know I'm gona choose from jump street.. but i have yet to see anything from that race as far character creation

  • will you uplaod gameplay vid?

  • @Neoraxis

I may upload a small amount of footage of the gameplay, but probably not too much as I don't want to breach my contract.

  • I can really understand how can professions be chosen among other classes . For example, i like to be Gladiator with miner and blacksmith profession . This is really confusing i really don't get it .....

  • @q8ywizard

Keep in mind that this is still Beta, and this is just a starter class. The game will probably allow its users to switch between all the classes once it's released to the public, just like FFXI.

As for the professions/classes themselves, I'm not sure. I haven't tried them yet. As you can tell just from this video (youtube's maintenance last night..), there's a lot customization available, and I've only tried one class out of all of these. The professions likely have attacks.

  • @q8ywizard If you played FFXI then it would probably make a bit more sense to you. In XIV, you aren't bounded to one class. You switch classes by simply changing the weapon in your main hand. By equiping a sword, you'll change to Gladiator class. By equipping a pickaxe, you change to miner. And so on an so forth.

I can't tell you anything more than that due to NDA.

  • @GameDragon2k yeah i played FFXI before but this is just different . FFXI u can skill up or take any profession u want but here they are more like classes or even classes . But u know its completely useless to choose what class u want in character creation which u can choose ur own class by just equip the right weapon for it . but for me equipping a different weapon make ur class changed .. its kinda sucks and annoying to me

  • @q8ywizard

If you think about it, it's just like FFXI for the most part, isn't it? I mean, you used to have to go to your mog house to change classes, and of course each class had its own equipment. Same concept with XIV, just switch equipment, and you switch classes.

  • @HeroicEdge Yeah maybe its all same FFXI but the only different now is that the professions in FFXIV considered as classes and you may have to level them . but the question is do u actually lvl them up by killing mobs or crafting or both or everything have its way .. idk still confusing . You know its because its all new to us playing professions as classes which doesn't exist in FFXI

  • @q8ywizard

Yup it's all very new. Shouldn't be too hard to adjust though. I haven't played anything except a Mage yet so I don't know the answer to that question specifically. I'd assume if it's a non-combat class you're playing as though, you'd level up by performing acts in association with your class.
