I've been told by some professionals that it is recommended to take pills while pregnant and heard that ppl were actually on pills while pregnant and that's dangerous. Pregnant women are not suppose to take pills to treat diabetes while pregnant they either do diet control or take insulin which is what I'm doing today. I was type II before i got pregnant and knew I was going to have to take insulin when pregnant and the further along u get the more unsulin you'll have to take.
If your doctor recommended Glyburide please do some research before you take it. They tried to prescribe it for my wife, but I found out that it's not FDA approved for pregnancy. Insulin is a much safer option.
Just because you are overweight or obese doe's not mean you are not a healthy person. In some cases obesity is genetic and an overweight person can lead the same life style as an average weight person but still have problems with weight control.
actually gestational diabetes can be detected in early pregnancy.
for example, i have PCOS so when I get pregnant (cross fingers) my doctor will keep testing me throughout my pregnancy for GD due to the fact that I have a higher chance of getting it
and YES i DO know I am at risk for it. so some of your infortmation is wrong.
