r.i.p. bradley nowell, & lou dog, i just tend to think of how it sucks so bad bradley died in 96, i always preach that if bradley nowell would of never died just music in general would be so much different, i don't think the radio would be dead,i think when nowell passed so did the radio, he could of taken music so much farther than all these people that are popular now..bradley was real, no bullshit..and thats why i admire and will always idiolize him.
it was after a friend of mine who was about 4 years older than me went to this show where we live here in v-town and then played me some tracks off of 40 oz to freedom that I became instantly hooked on their sound.
lou dog got them reefer clouds for sure R.I.P Bradley and lou dogg u will live on forever though the great music u gave to us peace and sublime to everyone to sublime and lou dog and all the sublime lovers out there this hits for u................
souljah, lol Dude i reckon Lou-Dog could handle more weed, then any other on this earth, seeing so he attended every sublime gig, not to mention was brads best friend haha.
also, when Eric switches it up to "Secret Hate" and Brad stops all quick is fucking sick. Ill agree with one of the replies below that Eric is underrated. Very sweet move on his part. It just sounds good in that Venue. Im high and ranting...continue on...
Pawn Shop is a cover of Wailing Souls song with the same name. They even re-recorded it with Long Beach Dub Allstars after Brad's untimely passing. The re-released version is 'War down at the Pawn Shop'
Brad had been known to sometimes pawn his guitars to support his habit of herion. friend Miguel (who created Skunk records with Brad),would have to go find the pawn shop & buy the guitars back. This song was written about these incidents. Nowell's struggles with addiction were occasionally reflected in his artistic work. He claimed that his heroin use was justified, claiming it aided his artistic creativity. Drugs always have a huge impact on great music. not just for Brad. Rest In Peace B.J.N
