Snow isn't a drug, it's cold frozen rain that falls from the sky. Andrew's refering to getting drunk, which alterd his mind system and made the snow feel like it was burning. Lit one up refers to lighting candles after dark, since drinking parties usually happen ater dark. Trust me, I ASKED HIM IN PERSON. The rest is probaly just the random stuff he always puts in his songs.

It's funny. I had my itunes on shuffle. And I thought the song was over. I heard that beautiful piano riff and was like "is this vanessa carlton? How come I don't recognize this?" And then I heard his voice and I was like "oh it's jacks, lol. it's the same song." The ending of this song is amazing. I love it!

That said, the song takes on a completely different meaning to me... really just part 2, "You Can Breathe". I met a friend through a mutual friend and we instantly bonded over our love for all things Andrew. She was leaving 3 months after we met, though, to move all the way across the country. We took the idea of "air" in the song as time.. That is to say, we have time, but it's quickly running out on us.. not what it's supposed to mean, but that's the beauty of music to me.

Whether or not he wrote the song to be about cocaine is not the point. Good music allows you to draw multiple meanings to it.. Hell, that's just good art in general.
