Mark your fucking spoilers asswipe. This thing is labeled "death of maddie" when its actual significance goes FARRRR beyond that. Someone interested in possibly checkin out the show could be on youtube watchin clips of it just to see if it might be something they would be interested in. They stumble upon this title, with no way of knowing it reveals THE most important aspect of the show, and boom you've ruined what woulda been one of the greatest experiences/moments of their life.
Oh man, I was so upset when this happened! The murder of a great girl, Cooper not being able to save her, and the SONG. I was in tears when this aired.
@paul45862 I don't know if you've heard this by now, but David Lynch did not want to reveal the identity of the killer. He and Mark Frost did it because of the enormous pressure that the network was putting on them to give answers.
@paul45862 It sucks because Lynch's plan was to keep it going for like ten years and only reveal the killer at the end, but execs forced it on him. This is a fantastic scene though.
@NeverAgain1985 Yes, but in FWWM, Leland says to Laura, "I thought you knew it was me." Translation: he was being controlled by BOB, but let it happen anyway.
omg when i saw twin peaks for the first time this scene freaked the hell outta me XD

I really liked Sheryl Lee in TP.............sucked that she got killed off TWICE in the same show!!!!!!!!

Personally I think that The Giant is way scarier than Bob and Leland together.

I just can't imagine them ever getting away with that on network TV today. Incredible. Disturbing. One of the best TV dramas ever made.

That had to be THE must upsetting/disturbing scene that I had ever seen on TV. Still chills me to the bone seeing it nearly 20 years later.

As much as i love this scene and episode, i don't think they should've revealed the killers identity. It was the entire point of the show.

@paul45862 I agree. revealing the killer esentially ruined the show

@paul45862 The revealing was rushed by ABC, Lynch didn't want to reveal Leland's identity that early.

@mAzArE13 he intended to reveal it at all :(

Grazie per questo video in versione integrale. In Italia una parte della scena è stata tagliata.

Bob is SUCH a motherfucker. Leland's death in that prison cell was one of the saddest things I have ever seen.

Leland was scum. He was aware that he was molesting Laura. It's revealed in FIRE WALK WITH ME.

@jseremet technically it was Bob molesting laura

What's so awful about this is that actually Leland's this sweet gentle soul. Of all the people for BOB to posess, why must it be my Leland?
