What is the studio tour? i thought they only had studio tours in California like studio tours of the movie and tv studios?...

A studio is where an artist works. So the artists in the area have an open house tour where people can go see their stuff and buy it if they want. There are dozens of artists around me. Hundreds in the whole area.
