First off: Diedrich Bader would be MUCH better off as Minsc. Other than that, I think Vin Diesel as Sarevok would actually work. It'll suck not hearing Kevin Richardson's sinister baritone, but it'll work (though having Richardson reprise the Narrator would be cool.)

Honestly, Baldur's Gate would make a poor movie, but be an awesome HBO/Showtime series.

Any cast for BG would be impossible, as the game's story just doesn't lend itself to cinema at all. The standard DnD story is very cliche, mostly about action and wealth accumulation, and very little to do with drama.

It was a great game, but would be a very subpar film.
