How sad...The Lost Gardens of Apollo was not only one of the most beautiful sims in SL, but it was one of the reasons why it was worth logging inworld in the first place. It will always be a testimony to the creative and artistic talent of its builders. It will be missed.
Was tempted to muck around with Second Life again, so I downloaded it and logged back in, but the one sim I truly loved is gone. The one sim that didn't have the ambiance of a porn theater or a dance club, the only sim that didn't leave my soul feeling sticky like a theater floor and more alone than when I logged in. Now all I can feel for SL is a big load of "why bother?"
LL is supposed to have established an endowment to the arts. If a SIM is a work of art and is there for the enjoyment of all and it a great source of advertisement for SL, then make it tier free. Those of us who do machinima in particular, really on having beautiful sites to film in, which in turn, is only more advertizing for SL. LL could even host a contest once or twice a year for SIMS to be judged and then win tier free status. That in itself would be a great promo.
@MaryWickentower I agree whole heartedly with this - it is only the work of the sim and 'object' builders that keep people in and exploring SL. A contest and prize like that would inspire and probably increase spend in world.
Beautiful, heartrendering machinima. This does seem to be a season of sorrow & loss...chou chou, now the Gardens of Apollo. Others beautiful SIMS are going belly up in the fishbowl as well. That LL would allow this to happen, is a disgrace. Maybe all that will remain standing in the end are the slezy adult sites. What kind of statement will that be about LL & SL
very beautiful scenes and light settings. Pity, always enjoyed the gardens of Apollo so as other places like Black Swan (I spent days and days over this sims) pretty peaceful and inspiring. Great work!
Beautiful video so caught the essence of a place whose loss shall leave a hole in the hearts and souls of those of us who have spent time there. And sadder yet knowing that no one else will ever get to enjoy those experiences . . Brought such heartfelt tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for saving this memory for us all.
Is a pity Lost Gardens of Apollo are closing in SL. I think you are the machinimator most publi had done to SecondLife online with your great machinimas "Breathe I & II" showed in a lot of websites through the wrold. So should be great if you find a help from Linden Lab to keep Gardens of Apollo.
Good luck and... we are waiting for your new machinimas, anyway :)

I was glad to hear on The Bot Zone that Dane backed the sim up. Hope for the future. "Apollo" simply lies dormant, not dead yet. :)
