They though Edward wasn't hot enough (!)

I like her but don't think Alexis would bring the strength and slight "tom boyish" quality to Bella that Kristen S. is certain to pull off. =) Especially with how her character must evolve later in the series/movies. I think the casting for everyone seems WONDERFUL...but that's just my opinion. =)
