from a magicians point of view, why write a prediction after the card is selected?

@aceofclubskid Well for the spectator seeing a prediction really enforces the effect of the trick. For the magician, writing the card (even though you already know what it is) just helps to make the spectator believe what you are doing. But you are right, it doesn't make much of a difference. @DevilsMetsGiants You just have to practice it and act if you're giving them a random card. If you act like you believe it's a free choice, they will too. It also helps to show two different cards like I did in the performance. Hope this helps, thanks for the comment!

@nizzlekizzle3000 Try using different amounts of chapstick, you can just test it on your arm, you dont need to do the whole trick. Tell if that doesn't work and I will try to help you further =)
