Every day I wake up is another blessing because I’m live and I can sing from my heart. Well, Music is all I have in my life and it’s all I NEED to live.
‘Cause without it I couldn’t smile, dreaming, singing and living.
And all I need to come true this amazing dream is your support .that’s all it takes
@LizzyMilla1 No most people still had rotary dial phones, which were just getting update to push buttons key pads when this came out, cellular phones were only a pipe dream.
@sushiboyangel Absolutley NOT..her vocals are terrible for a start. Debbie vocals just totally express the situation and stress she's in, in this song to stalker perfection.
Did anyone notice how Chris Stein's Rickenbacker guitar changes to a Stratocaster for the solo? Only for the solo, then he switches back to the Ric. Not that it's important, just funny... :-)
@kayllo15 Debbie as you can see had this image many years before Anna Nicole Smith was on the scene. Debbie was an original and soooo cool she created it all and many followed after trying to create something similar to her. You see her fashion sense on the streets in shops and on the stars of today. Anna looked a little bit like Debbie sometimes, maybe when she was in her younger years. Anna was a fan when alive she used to wear Blondie T shirts.
How low is this song on here if you're gonna listen to it then on full blast but its still low I hate Vevo sooooooooooo much. or try a different video. also Picture This is another great video for Debbies beauty and voice.

Um, wrongo dufus boy!
this girl is so influential...she changed the role of women in rock(became more sexy than ever before) and he even influenced in her way of singing sometimes hip hop
..Seen Blondie a few months ago... God I swear she looked like she was from 1979 again, she looked and the band sounded amazing. 66yrs of age and still touring and going strong just brilliant!!!

1978 and it was the start of the best years of my life, great times and the music was unreal. I really do think that era had something special about it, people I've talk to who lived through it say the same. What is there now a dried up waste land of nothing but forced so called talent. I'm just glad I was there living and breathing it all in.

I agree today's music is crap which is why I don't listen to it :) One things that has changed forever is all the computer and pro tools crap used to make music. Real musicians seem to be a thing of the past.
@downbeat5000 Ok, look i know you have your opinion, but writting music with a computer does not take away from anything, i love classic music like this, i also like modern music and not really into pop, but also as a music student, i use those programs. Well sibuelius mainly, music aways evolves and changes, these programs just make people that can't play but understand the theory of writting able to write, i mean im a guitarist i would rather sit and write on that but pc's are used now, sorry.

@downbeat5000 How is it fakeriffs, they are still wrote using the same idea's any music is wrote, and sibelus uses live recordings of the instruments, and you are limited by each instrument, fair enough you can write in unreal tempo and even use melodys that are impossible to play on. I mean i'm taking a piano piece and turning it into a ochestral version. so it isn't really fake. There might be liess passion in the playing, and i know you don't like todays music, but still dont mean its fake.
School assembly and me and a class mate got up and danced to this in front of the whole school. We were probably around 9 years old. Jeez, we thought we were so all that.
@TheTwilightalehouse So true! You can hear this song or something like My Sharona by ""The Knack"" ONCE and it sticks in your head because of its UNIQUENESS! The ABSOLUTELY GENERIC CRAP POP music being made today has ALL the individuality and uniqueness of a Roll of toilet paper! and about as forgetable. NOBODY is gonna be singin or listening to any of Chris Brown, Canya West, Beyonce, Pussy cat Dolls, Brittany or Lady Ga Ga in 10,15,20,25,30,35 years from now.
@linusvanpelter Oh SHIT i SOOOOooo envy you! You can lay claim to having been kissed by the one of the most beautiful and talented women in history. And DEFINATELY the most perfect set of lips GOD ever put on ANY woman. You lucky Bugger!

@adeworks The Western World and music reached its Zenith between 1974 to1982 More talent than you could poke a stick at. Punctuated equilibrium? Im gonna look it up now.
HeLLo EvEryONE I don’t try to be a spammer; I’m just a person who is fighting for her dream I’m going to introduce myself. My name is Angie Medina and I’m 17 years old I’m in a small town, but I have big dreams I play guitar, flute and I would like to learn play piano and violin My dream is to be a singer And I would like that my dream can come true with the help of you guys. So please stop by my channel and check out my cover. Please help me get my dream. Thank you so much.
@P39SpaceModulator Yes She certainly is, i never get use to seeing that dynamicly beautiful sensual face. Must have made the crowd go Oooh...AHhhh when ever she walked into a room even before she became famous.
@linusvanpelter Kirsten Dunst is starting to look too rough and old to portrait Debbie Harry. Also she doesn't have the good stunning looks. I think someone like Elisha Cuthberg or Scarlet Johanson would be better.
Cant believe I was so lucky to be named after her. I was brought up listening to her, and now I'm a musician myself. She has definately influenced me :)
I was 19 when this came out and was driving around in a brand new black MGB Roadster Convertible with this blaring out into the high street! All that was missing was bleach-blonde in the passenger seat! (but I still have the car and Debbie looks a bit shit now...!)
Sorry folks. The music was just better then. Its pretty much all been done. The industry killed itself on greed, and it shows. Rock and Roll was a force to be reckoned with, and Miss Harry was too. I am grateful and proud to have been there. And am not ashamed to admit that Rock is dead. It is a fact. Face it. The light burned brightly until Cobain died. But so what? Things don't last forever. Sure, good artists still can be found. But the magic is in the old stuff.
@tarp11z nah the magic is stuff we look back on, 20 years from now arctic monkeys, the strokes, the hives, foo fighters, kasabian, oasis will be the new magic
@madbeatz the new magic maybe, but I still compare it to the sixties. when u think of the stones, doors, hendrix, sabbath, led zep, deep purple, even nirvana seems cheap
@tarp11z amen to tht dude i mean im knda pissed off at u cause im jelous of u im only 18 n i hate my gneration cause they only watch mtv and listen to shitie music be like spears the jonas brothers and shit like that ur so fucking right the music died after cobain he was the last sparkle since the flame from the 60´s
u cant find any good band that hasnt sold out or disbanded
of course there are some bands with good sound but we will never see the fire from the 90s cause teenagers are braindead
@tarp11z and in another 20 years someone will say the same thing about the music from now... :/ It's not dead and it definitely didn't finish with Cobain...
Listen to this, Demi! This is how it's done.

@BobcutFan They say Kirsten Dunst will play Debbie. Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
linusvanpelter 5 months ago
@linusvanpelter Kirsten Dunst is starting to look too rough and old to portrait Debbie Harry. Also she doesn't have the good stunning looks. I think someone like Elisha Cuthberg or Scarlet Johanson would be better.
doetim 5 months ago
@doetim I don't think anyone today is beautiful enough to portray Miss Debbie.
linusvanpelter 5 months ago
@linusvanpelter she's no where near cool enough.

Cant believe I was so lucky to be named after her. I was brought up listening to her, and now I'm a musician myself. She has definately influenced me :)

@vampireravefan No, it's gay to like Madonna, but the height of cool to love Blondie.
linusvanpelter 5 months ago 2
@linusvanpelter its also dumb, Madonna was the proto type for all talentless bimbo pop tart singers that we see today!

I was 19 when this came out and was driving around in a brand new black MGB Roadster Convertible with this blaring out into the high street! All that was missing was bleach-blonde in the passenger seat! (but I still have the car and Debbie looks a bit shit now...!)

@snotmale Not looking too bad considering she's into her 60s now... I know it's mostly plastic, but still...

Debra Harry was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO fuckin hot! This song came out when I was 10 and I remember having a crush on her then! lol love it!
wahahn 6 months ago
that stuttering little keyboard line is easy to overlook, but pretty genius.
tohellwithintentions 6 months ago
Oh, and I would still date Debbie Harry. Sometimes, hot don't get old. And no one is immortal.
tarp11z 7 months ago
Sorry folks. The music was just better then. Its pretty much all been done. The industry killed itself on greed, and it shows. Rock and Roll was a force to be reckoned with, and Miss Harry was too. I am grateful and proud to have been there. And am not ashamed to admit that Rock is dead. It is a fact. Face it. The light burned brightly until Cobain died. But so what? Things don't last forever. Sure, good artists still can be found. But the magic is in the old stuff.

@tarp11z
Ditto films. Hollywood is stuck in a creative ditch...and I blame that hack Michael Bay for most of it.
KellyGreen5555 6 months ago
@tarp11z and it shows bands like ac/dc blondie their music still kicks ass within next couple years people will be like lady who

@tarp11z nah the magic is stuff we look back on, 20 years from now arctic monkeys, the strokes, the hives, foo fighters, kasabian, oasis will be the new magic
madbeatz 4 months ago
@madbeatz the new magic maybe, but I still compare it to the sixties. when u think of the stones, doors, hendrix, sabbath, led zep, deep purple, even nirvana seems cheap
ferradasilva 4 months ago
@tarp11z amen to tht dude i mean im knda pissed off at u cause im jelous of u im only 18 n i hate my gneration cause they only watch mtv and listen to shitie music be like spears the jonas brothers and shit like that ur so fucking right the music died after cobain he was the last sparkle since the flame from the 60´s
u cant find any good band that hasnt sold out or disbanded
of course there are some bands with good sound but we will never see the fire from the 90s cause teenagers are braindead
twistedkarm 4 months ago
@tarp11z and in another 20 years someone will say the same thing about the music from now... :/ It's not dead and it definitely didn't finish with Cobain...
Insaneagram 4 months ago
@tarp11z you're just a dumbass.. rock isnt dead and it will never die.
OuTBreaKOfEviL2 4 months ago
@tarp11z
I agree that most of the music were better then, and that it seems that it all has been done.
But, i tell you, Rock is not dead.
How can it be dead when it is still enjoyed?
Sure, there may be a lot of crap today, seemingly drowning out what is good, but as time passes, the good is remembered, and the bad is forgotten.
Crap was done back then, too. But, that crap is not remembered.
This is what is remembered ....
