The first time I actually saw taiko in person, I was surprised by all the moving around, all the coordinated movements and interactions. It's really nice, the way they play to the audience.

As a Taiko performer, I hate to criticize. But it seems this group should go back to basics and really hone their skills. Then seek further guidance from Tanaka Sensei.
We are a New Zealand Taiko group, and we are still learning.
To give you some information.
Haere-mai means "welcome" in Maori, Mai means to dance in Japanese. This is an expression of the two cultures mixing and creating a new enriched culture.
the beat seems familiar. or atleast the beginning. it reminds me of, well, i can't remember, but it makes me think of some of the songs, i used to know how to play. i think matsuri, and jon can po.
These guys are really good, some of the best I've heard. Some parts there's playing when no one is moving, I'm guessing that someone on the side is cut off, judging from the number of drums shown to the left and how few on the right, ne?
Taiko troupes will sometimes spend weeks practicing a new song with new moves, to get the timing just right. It can be a challenging process, but it's usually worth it in the end.

I loved your choreography on all your videos! Just so people who've never seen taiko know half of the art of Taiko is the choreography.
