  • this is sicking

  • I'm curious; did the people in charge of the ministry ask the participants if they had food allergies? Or asthma? Or a medical condition that would prevent them from being able to complete the exercises?

  • Every year, 400 or more Teen Mania Honor Academy interns enter themselves into participating in ESOAL. Out of the thousands who have participated in ESOAL since it started 15 yrs ago, MAYBE 5 % have ever complained and those were only a few disgruntled people that did not make all the way through to the end of ESOAL and they later on turned and picked it apart out of bitterness because they weren't able to finish and all they took away from the experience was a self induced sense of failure.

  • Sure, in the short run, sticking our faces in the mudd and rolling down hills over and over and running 10 miles and following random annoying drills non stop are ineffective, ----but---4 whole DAYS of that, on hardly any sleep being cold, wet, dirty, and smelly with every bone in our bodies just saying -"just quit, just leave, go take a warm shower, eat pizza and sleep in your comfy bed! "--- to CHOOSE to stay in and press on to the finish is sooo hard but teaches GREAT self control and more

  • The trials to come are beyond comprehension tougher than ESOAL. Anything you say from here, will be strictly opinion. But I believe the Bible. & ESOAL is an opportunity to be challenged, broken down, and built back up stronger. It not only prepares us for the future, but it gives us more endurance for the Now. To not just give up & do what the world says is alright, but press on past temptation and follow Truth . It accomplishes so much for us personally.

  • You may not be able to see it now, but there is a greater war coming to the earth like never in history. It is waging now- for now its mostly spiritual, but it will get more physical. We are in a time of mercy. God is still waiting for more people to repent and turn to Him while there is still time. The earth sleeps and slumbers lullabied by the sounds of peace and safety with our starbucks and comfort, but it wont last forever. we are being trained not to give up now--OR then.

  • The Bible is true. Jesus is returning, and as that great and terrible day of the Lord draws near, there will be much chaos and turmoil on the earth. Christians all over will be persecuted and hated in the end times--its already happening, but it will increase 100 fold. Many who follow Christ now will cave into the pressure then and turn from faith in Jesus out of fear of persecution, or they will choose to reject Christ, naming themselves God over their own life-only to be devistated in the end

  • Just like the U.S military trains for war, to fight on the outside, - ESOAL serves as an optional event for Christ Followers to gain mental and emotional endurance to win fights on the inside. I dont really expect you to understand, but there IS an army more important than earthly military army, and that is the Lords army. King Jesus is coming back to rule and reign and there is a REAL spiritual battle we have to fight every day to resist sin an we need to be strong and ready-not giving in

  • By standard of US law, this is NOT child abuse as all ESOAL participants are 18 or older, and CHOSE on free will to participate and also have the full freedom to quit at any time, so since that reason for you to hate on it wont work, heres one that you can fire away on all you want. This training is no more intense than US military training-true- but what ESOAL accomplishes is training for spiritual battle, its a battle of character and mental endurance, you learn not cave under extreme pressure

  • this has nothing to do with Salvation...Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).

  • Amazing how teen mania's graceful interns are always rude when responding to blogs????

  • Don't hate on Teen Mania, they reach thousands of teens for Christ every year, they are a passionate ministry that is doing good things on the earth for the Kingdom. ESOALis optional for those like U who disagree with it- not mandatory. You are only causing disunity in the body if you're gonna bash.I'll just go ahead & prepare you for when we all get to heaven,All of Teen Mania will be there, you'll see us all, and we're gonna be together for all eternity so we might as well make peace now :) LOVE

  • @TimandShalise Just saying, Jesus never said to do any of that stuff, nor did He do it Himself :). I'm not causing disunity. Show me in the bible where Jesus said to do stuff like that. He said we would have trials, He didn't say to go looking for them. Jesus didn't treat His disciples like that. Period. All the stuff that is going on in that video is mad made stuff that is not based on the Word of God. I don't care how many teens they reach, I care how many teens they bring Truth to. Love :)

  • O.K so you're going to discredit this ENTIRE ministry & their heart for Jesus and reaching the lost becaue of ONE- OPTIONAL event they do every year that you don't believe lines up with the Bible.Thats a bit religious and legalistic. Its not your place to judge that way.Thats like me discrediting your ENTIRE Christian walk because I don't agree with you celebrating Christmas. Jesus didn't SAY to make a day centered around his birth upon wich to exchange presents with everyone-but we do it.

  • Some people don't believe women hould wear make-up- EVER.They believe its completely against scripture, & by your way of viewing, Jesus didn't SAY to wear makeup, so does that mean every woman who has ever loved Jesus that gave her life in devotion to relationship with Him and stood firm in the Gospel, won many to the Kingdom, devoted herself to missions & was beaten down, enslaved, persecuted-all for not because someone thinks she's leading ppl into a cult because she wears makeup?! :/ Come on.

  • Just sayin, you dont know Teen Mania. This is the ONLY thing that could even POSSIBLY be questionable about this ministry by anyone. I spent 2 years of my life there. If you went to visit and saw firsthand what they do the OTHER 362 days of the year, Im sure you would agree with it. U see a Youtube video & pull all these accusations. The Lord uses this ministry in big ways. He's doing great things through it for His glory. U have no idea how the Love and Grace of God fill that campus.

  • @TimandShalise You're absolutely right. :)

  • @TimandShalise

It doesnt matter what you do for the other 362 days, the problem is Teen Mania abuses these kids and turns them into mindless puppets. You're imaginary friend if he does exist would look down upon this type of indoctrination.

  • @lildread1 Actually, you have no idea what Teen Mania does. Sit on your high horse and judge from afar. Dont bother going to Teen Mania OR a BattleCry/ATF event and see what God is doing through TM, No, just sit at home and watch a few negative Youtube Videos to form your judgements. Besides, I must say there are larger issues at hand if you consider Jesus Christ the Living God an "immaginary" friend. That is of PRIMARY GLOBAL importance way beyond ANY ministry and ANY little YouTube video.

  • @TimandShalise

all i see is a sad person who is making excuses for the abuses of children, you are pathetic.

  • Your argument that this is 'child abuse' is completely uneducated and would never hold up in court of law. Child abuse is ILLEGAL. There are no children at Teen Mania, the interns are all18 or older. & United States Military training is WORLDS more intense than ESOAL---& just like ESOAL, it is 100% optional. The nature of the things said during ESOAL are no more"harsh" or intense than the things said in real U.S military training and bootcamp- army, green baret, ect. so toughin up a little.

  • @TimandShalise How stupid are you? This is fucking child abuse.

  • @doom3134 Your argument that this is 'child abuse' is completely uneducated and would never hold up in court of law. Child abuse is ILLEGAL. United States Military training is WORLDS more intense than ESOAL---and guess what, thats optional too. Just like ESOAL---its OPTIONAL. "Child abuse" ?? ? there isnt a single person in this video under the age of 18 years old. Teen Mania interns range anywhere from 18 years old to 28(age limit for the internship). PS. quit hatin' :) xoxoxxox

  • @TimandShalise It is fucking insane, kids get hurt, they get infections from it, and at least the military training accomplishes something, this accomplishes nothing! Absolutely nothing! And I hate child abuse, so I guess I'll keep hating.

  • ....uhm, my point still stands. This is NOT child abuse.they are all adults over age 18 and CHOSE to do it- it was not forced. "kids could get hurt or get infectiond from it."?? Im sorry but you have no grounds to label this child abuse. I mean, boys who play college football are at equal or more risk of getting hurt or acquiring infection. Now, the one substantial statement you made was your question about what this is accomplishing - & I would like to adress that at the top of the page.thanks

  • @TimandShalise They have to roll down hills full of vomit, and eat fucking cat food. And the worst part is, this is probably worst than boot camp. At least boot camp has a good cause to it.

  • @doom3134 Oh boo hoo. so you get a little vomit on you and you might be challenged to take a bite of something that just TASTES gross that wont kill you--no one HAS to eat the cat food, so chill. There are a lot WORSE things in life a person can go through. Starving people in Ethiopia would fight over a can of cat food. We are all such pampered little Americans. ESOAL is about experiencing the hardest four days of your life and proving to yourself that you CAN do it. lol. youll survive.

  • @doom3134 ...Green Barret Boot Camp- youtube or google it. Its MUCH worse, they roll around in vomit too, and a lot tougher things than ESOAL. you have no idea. I mean, obviously no clue. So unless your throwing as big of a riot with the US government over their forms of training too, Id just give your attack on ESOAL a rest. The only thing you are REALLY upset about is that you THINK this is all for nothing- a waste of time. Thats your OPINION. Trash to you = life changing to many :) xoxoxo

  • @TimandShalise It is abuse, and you'll survive? I am not in this horrible program, and how is it life changing? All it is, is well, pure torture. And it is a waste of time, and physical and mental well-being.

  • @doom3134 I described in the 5 paragraphs below, all the purposes it serves, posted it just for you, dear. but you obviously dont care. You dont know what this program means to others, and you are just hating what you dont understand. Is that what you always do, jsut hate things you dont understand. No one who has ever finished ESOAL is complaining about it. Who are you? you are whinning on the behalf of whom? it was their choice to do it. free country. Your "opinion" has been heard. Thanks

  • @TimandShalise Your opinion has been heard as well, but a lot of other people agree with me, and some people actually have finished it and complained from what I have heard. And what does it mean to others except for not welcomed stress?

  • Not welcomed stress? Its totaly welcomed. what are you talking about? The interns welcome it when they choose to show up and participate.Haha--ITS NOT FORCED!!!! There are over 6,000 interns who have participated in ESOAL since it started and how many of those interns are on the internet complaining about it? ..about 3. EVERYONE ELSE who complains has NO expereince with ESOAL and just cant understand that SOME people like to be pushed and challenged to the extremes to see how far they can go.

  • So, all these supposedly "tons" of other people who agree with you, I cant see how any of that matters. They are of no signifigance or relevance to this topic because all that matters is what the experience of ESOAL has done for the interns who PARTICIPATED. Maybe there are 3 interns--out of 6,000-- who finished ESOAL, left the Honor Academy, and decided they wanted to stir up some controversy about it. Whatever. Im sorry those 3 people did not take from the experience what the rest of us did.

  • So, the Honor Academy is not going to discontinue ESOAL because of 3 people out of 15 years, who just "didnt like it"- You cant please everyone. Look, I know that ESOAL was the hardest thing I have ever gone through in my life. I had faced big mountains but I had never been through anything as hard as ESOAL. I kept thinking "you cant do this, its too hard." But I pushed through those lies & Now I know if I can get through ESOAL I can get through anything and I wouldnt trade that for the world.

  • ENOUGH WITH ALL THIS DRAMA. Jesus changed my life forever at the Honor Academy and through ESOAL. I will never give up when hard times come,in my mairrage,in my finances, physically,or for the gospel, because I know there's a fighter in me. ESOAL was the hardest thing I have ever been through in my entire life and I can always look back & know, if I made it through ESOAL I can make it through anything. I dont have to give up. Because I know the Lord will pull me through just like he did in ESOAL

  • Jesus was pretty clear on how to teach people. Matt. 28:19. He said to teach them to do what He did. Clearly not what is going on no matter how much you want to defend it :). If you get the real gospel you won't have to be trained to die for it you'll be willing to at anytime.

  • @danielraysir-I have no interest in arguing this with you. 99% of those interns come out completely changed forever, more committed to the Lord than ever before in their lives. This generation is all about doing whatever they want to do and whatever "feels good." They will rarely sacrifice for someone else if their needs aren't met FIRST. media and pop culture is causing us to grow increasingly selfish and that its okay to do whatever we want as long as it makes us "happy" ESOAL toughins you up.

  • Its not "Training to be willing to die for the gospel." Whats the harm in being TESTED,ANYWAY?Jesus said we would be TESTED--& face TRIALS. Did he not? Whats wrong with PRACTICING joy, in the midst of persecution? How many of us REALLY get to practice that before facing it in real life?ESOAL does line up very well with scripture. Jesus said the world would hate us, because it hated him. But what else did he say "Take Heart! For I have overcome the world!" ESOAL teaches you to do just that :)

  • James 1:1-5 says "Consider it pure joy my brothers, when you face severe trials of many kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith developes perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." ESOAL is definitely a severe trial, that will challenge and test your faith- the perfect opportunity to 'consider it pure joy' and develop perseverance. Whats wrong with that? Its optional anyway. No one HAS to do it ;) just sayin'

  • Its not that those who ring out are losers or failures at life.-- Those who finish are NOT superhuman! After someone rings out and quits ESOAL, NO ONE is standing over them with a frown of shame and finger pointed in their face! The oposite, actually. The facilitators come up and hug you and talk to you and encourage you. They help you focus on how far you DID make it and help you understand that the fact they even TRIED shows their willingness to be stretched to become a stronger person.

  • Most of us dont really know what 'tough times' really are. The goal of ESOAL is to be the hardest thing youve ever gone through in your life. So many moments I wanted to give up so bad and throw in the towel. Just like in life. So many times we just want to give up because we just dont see the point in something, or we're tired, burnt out, our strength energy and passion is gone--During ESOAL, you learn that when there is nothing left in you that wants to go on to allow Gods strength to carry u

  • Its a GREAT once in a lifetime opportunity to face EXTREME adversity- greater hardships than we've ever faced before & have the chance to see if we can make it. 2 press on through that & not give up- no matter how annoying, uncomfortable, difficult, physically or emotionaly demanding a situation can be. Its an opportunity to look adversity in the face and choose joy- to let the Joy of the Lord be our strength.2 CHOOSE to keep fighting and encourage those around us in the midst of our own suffering

  • It is not as simple as "sticking your face in the mudd for Jesus" its deeper than that. Having attended HA and done ESOAL myself, Ima say for all you haters--- Dave Hasz "the guy on the mic" as you called him, is a kind compassionate awesome teacher of the Bible at HA. He was just acting when he was being harsh over the mic. He and all the facilitators are there to push us & test our patience in order to show us our character flaws

  • @TimandShalise Really? Because I haven't read about any of this in the Bible. Jesus didn't teach his disciples like this, nor did the Apostles teach the early church like this, and all of the apostles ended up tortured and martyred. Jesus knew they would be and never tried to train them how to die. He trained them how to love people.

This is some of the most unbiblical garbage I've ever seen. If you actually read a Bible and stop taking the preachers words for it, you'll find out. :)

  • No this is a building oppertunity it build reliance and strength in the lord and reliance on the lord this has nothing to do with honor it is for the exact meaning of the Acronym Emotional Stretching oppertunity of a lifetime. It was I did not finish finished but I realized that It was not required to complete but to reach your personal BAR.

  • @soldierofchrist16 "It pays to be a winner, and you're a loser!"

Seriously, though, stop letting these crazy assholes brainwash you. This is not helpful in ANY way to a persons faith, morals, or "honor." How can people send their children to the "care" of these pretentious nutjobs.

  • Stick your face in the mud for Jesus?
