  • ok what exactly is the diffrence between this and the genesis version??

  • @DreamcastRubix

This IS the Genesis version, in EU and Japan the Genesis was called MegaDrive

  • @cubex55 Haha thanks yeah i feel stupid I was confusing the MegaDrive with MasterSystem pretty bad since i have every system since it came out >.<

  • Back when Disney were producing some of the best video games in the world...

  • longplay? bitch please, i just typed ABBAABBA for an instant win ;)

  • So many good times with this game:D

  • 32:55 anyone see the Mega Drive in the background?

  • this was a awesome game

  • So great game, one of the best on Megadrive, they take all the best of the MD and put it in the game ! Everything is amazing on this game from the graphics, to the music ! I miss those old games.

  • Holy crap, I haven't played this game in FOREVER!! It was the third game I had ever played. The firsts being The Lion King and Sonic 2. Sega was the shit back then!

  • my first game what nostalgy ;)

  • I remember thinking as a kid, that the grafics were more realistic than reality. Good times.

  • This game is so good. The sprites were drawn by the artists at Disney and digitised from Cel animation by the guys at Westwood. The music was great. It was challenging, but not frustratingly so. One of the best games on the Megadrive. I used to rent this game constantly from my local shop. Loved it.

  • Gotta love the way Aladdin runs on the Level Complete screen. Always made me laugh.

  • Snes & MEgadrive version are alike, thus i like SNES sounds being more soft.. Not so "scratchy" (?) like Megadrive's version.

  • @whintake Ahhh I didn't know there was a SNES version, as I've only seen a friend complete it on his Megadrive. I'll have a nose around for the Nintendo longplay. Big fan of Disney (and Megadrive) here.

  • I remember that game

I couldn't get past the second part of the frigging Cave Of Wonders since I kept falling into the lava >: (

  • Wish it was 1992 again...

  • no ano de 1994 eu joguei aladdin eu tinha 9 anos de idader tinha um mega draive japones mais como ja è passado tudo se foi

  • I can't believe I liked that piece of crap in my times...

  • @NordicRuneProject The kids who play now crisis 2 will say the same in 20 years!

  • How you like them apples? :B

  • dos verison got voice samples at the title menu music. when i first heard it, my jaw dropped.

  • The MegaDrive version > SNES version.

  • I'll tell how the way to finish this game.

    pause, then abbaabbaabba....worked for me

  • i think this game was better than the movie

  • great game

  • That face at 6:39, I've never forgotten it. It used to scare me when I was younger.

  • This makes me wanna get a megadrive again =P

  • cubex55 id just like to know what year did this game come out?

  • @uiolkijhgh

    1993

  • @firestrings272

you have the level also in this version, and way better graphics and animations.

  • @firestrings272 28:52 - Escaping from lava, on a carpet.

  • My favorite moment : 28:44 :)

  • Ive ordered my mega drive copy and can't wait to play this again. I loved the disney games on this system when i was younger.

  • Now this is the "Aladdin" game I always prefered. But wait! A cutscene was skipped!

  • Excellent side-scrolling, platforming for it's time period. Mario and Sonic: eat your hearts out!!!

  • This game was very bad on the gameboy *sigh*

  • I've always loved the color palette and style used in Genesis versions of most cartoon based games compared to SNES versions which always lacked detail and usually always had a "pastel" type palette used.

I was a SNES fanboy growing up since I owned one and didn't own a Genesis, but now as an adult and owning a Genesis I really appreciate and respect the SEGA Genesis alot. Also personally I love FM tunes more-so than I do SNES "wavetable". If I want sound samples I play Amiga games. :D

  • Nice! WITHOUT LOSING A LIFE!!

  • Great game and longplay

  • @thumminxy

But the snes version is almost a different game...not a port ;-)

  • And there was a level in the clouds, that you needed to jump with Aladdin over, it was a pretty hard level

  • cubex55: czy znasz/pamietasz moze taka gre, gdzie z jednej strony ekranu wyskakiwala z dolu chyba pilka czy kula jakas, a gracz mial do dyspozycji wentylatory i trampoliny, zeby ta pilke doprowadzic do celu?

  • difficulty you have on difficult my god i used to struggle with this game when i had it on the easy option lol.

  • OMG I remember my cousin and myself constantly restarting my Genesis to see that Sega logo and laugh hysterically at genie shooting Iago out of the sky. Old school :)

  • i wish disney would go back to making the hand drawn cartoon movies not the crap thay have nowadays all these computer made movies they suck

  • wow this came out in 93 i would have been 10 im 27 now i feel so old -.-

  • Ah, back in the games where Disney tie-in movie games were GOOD. Back in the days where they weren't afraid to push the difficulty barrier just a bit further, while still maintaining the integrity of the game play. A pox upon modern game designers and their ideas of movie tie-in games. I say a revolt is in order.

  • I remember a different ending... While fighting Jafar, he goes to it's ultimate form. Which is a big snake, and you need to walk on it's tail and hit him in the face. Could this be the SNES version i been talking about?

  • @Phlebiax I remember that too I had it on Sega and it had his ultimate form that you're talking about

  • ABBA ABBA

  • @anton1203 u know that! lol, I was just gonna say it too.

  • This was one of the rare good movie tie-ins.

Others that spring to mind are:

    Hudson Hawk

    The Addams Family

    The Blues Brothers

  • @auritone and goldeneye obviously

  • @123conker Naturally! :)

  • awsome the old days i was in love with this game and i think i still in love with it

  • wow the graphics are still good, awesome game and movie.

  • How nice of the Sultan to mark the exit to his dungeons!

  • Who remembers the cheat code? I don't but i used to hah.

  • THIS IS THE MAIN GAME OF MY ENTIRE CHILDHOOD! im so loving it, well, except that one 28:22

  • I remember playing the Aladdin from SNES lol this one kinda cute.

  • Did anyone notice Sebastian hanging from the wall at 16:40 ?

  • @StoicMan64 Not until you mentioned it. LOL.

  • this was one of my favourite games when i was little. so good to hear this music again; it has stuck with me this whole time.

  • the music makes me feel soooo nostalgic.

  • Awesome gameplay, awesome design, awesome music.

  • Loved this version - especially with the lamp level where if you look closely in the background, you can see the megadrive console...

  • this is a great game, pretty short though. I can beat it in about 20 minutes

  • Secret in the Desert level and any other lever where you see a pair of Mickey Mouse ears hanging on a clothesline. If you stop Aladdin just before the Mickey ears so that his next animation has him lean forward so it looks like he's wearing the Mickey ears, you gain a extra life.

  • i miss this game so much

  • One of the best movie tie-in games EVER...

  • Sweet! I thought this was going to be the super Nintendo version I had, this looks awesome too though.

  • What's your beef with the Super Nes version? >:-(

  • Damn 44 mins xD
