well its now a year later from your post and Microsoft did not ditch Vista, as a matter of fact the last 3 Major Microsoft releases have been for Vista/7.
wow its been a year since a made this comment! but actually in the context i was making back then, i meant ditch vista as in stop advertising/promoting it, which they did, in favor of 7, which they did again.
Is there a way to cleanup c:\windows\winsxs ? it has duplicate files just in the name of storing dll versions, its now 10.5 GB now !!!! WTF !! tell me.
1. Its been more than 2 years since the release, and since people dont know how vista looks like, that itself is a huge huge shame.
2. If i show ubuntu with compiz and tell that its windows mohave and then later tell that its ubuntu, see the reaction then.
3. Yes its about using it right, why dont you ask people to use linux, isnt it about using it right, once they use it they will know that its the best.
So this doesnt help, i am forced to use it, thats all i know.
Bad marketing strategy. It turns out that Microsoft is admitting that Vista has a very negative rating, which is quite true.
As to what you are saying is that "the point of the videos is to tackle the misconception people have of Windows Vista.". Well then, why don't we try asking this question first, "Why was there "misconceptions" about Windows Vista?".
The answer is simple, because there was no misconception, a lot of people tried Vista and they didn't like it. Bad rating = bad publicity.
Wonder what mojave looked like if they couldn't recognize its vista, but then again they have never used vista. So how can they rate it on a scale of 0-10? I don't get it.
The point of the videos is to tackle the misconception people have of Windows Vista. These people are rating Vista negatively without having even used it. Windows doesn't need to be disguised because the users haven't seen it anyway. After actually using the OS, they report a much more favorable rating than they initially reported for Vista. I hope that clears up any confusion. Thanks!
