You, sir just saved my rear. I was in desperate trouble of a science project due tomorrow, and this is perfect! A trombone mouthpiece and some other tubing works just as well! I can see how this has no dislikes yet!
@TheDutchWhisperer Once you get more advanced you will be able to access more pitches. Many notes are contained within the fudamental. This is known as the overtone series. Its how all brass instruments work
@TheDutchWhisperer I just read that if you put a single hole in the tube 1/3rd up from the bell toward the mouthpiece, you have a "nodal vent" which will, I think, switch the key from C to F (for example) as you open and close it with your finger. That will certainly give you more notes to play melodies with.
those are some amazing chops

The sound without the peace of plastic is better!
What if you drill some holes in the tubing, like a flute? Maybe more tones are avaible?
TheDutchWhisperer 1 year ago
@TheDutchWhisperer mmm... you could do that with your lips as well...
ZachariasClub 1 year ago
@ZachariasClub I know, cause i'm playing the trumpet to. Only when you do that with your lips, but you only get the base tones.
