"Dazed and Confused" was originally a yardbirds song that never got recorded and was renamed. And if you know anything about Led Zeppelin, then you would know that when the yardbirds split up, Jimmy Page took all the rights to Yardbirds, created a new group of Yardbirds, renamed them Led Zeppelin, and tried to recreate as many unused yardbird songs as possible, and new songs also, including "Stairway to Heaven".
