  • I like this, sort of a bittersweet version to me. I think when I'm become old goth living under the care of a nurse, requiring a nurse to spoon feed blood from her neck, and can't play any music at anything resembling a high volume, I could listen to this song and reminisce about the old days. Bravo to this man, bravo.

Though I am a bit curious how he came across the song.

  • Minted

  • Excellent interpretation of a favourite song from my teenage years.

  • This is easily one of the best covers ever made.

Until now I held the Gourds version of Gin n' juice as the greatest.

While on the note of covers, let's not forget Sisters doing Gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight) simply cos it shows Eldritch's excellent sense of humour behind that ghoulish face.

I also love the desert dream video. Who made it?

Big thanks for uploading! I can't count the times I've listened to it since i found it. Absolutely brilliant!

  • @niminiminimnim

    Thanx,

video is reassembled form 4 or 5 existing videos.

One is a Cadillac commercial featering bob dylan.

Others come from various people driving around the US in old ars.

And the kissing scene in the rain even comes from a 2002 dance remix of Pati Smith her Because the night.

All colorfiltered and mixed with Lambchob and SOM footage to give it a real authentical look. ;)

Eldritch is the best, always will be ;)

  • WONDERFUL!

You captured the substance whilst changing the style. Brilliant!

  • I am the Sisters of mercy fan and I enjoy this Lambchop version a lot.In fact I appreciate Kurt's music.Anybody knows what Eldritch thinks of this cover?

  • @gandolf425

Does anybody knows what Eldritch thinks at all?

  • this is amazing, thanks for posting

  • What a fantastic version of an excellent song.

I'm a Sisters fan, so thought I'd hate this on principle, but quite the opposite!

It has a slow strength that matches the power of the original. They haven't tried to be the Sisters.

    Love it!

  • How come I've never heard this Sisters cover before now? It's bloody mint.

  • speaking of frightful accountants ... Active: dad, father, pap, Allen "Rolls Royce" Carr ... etc...etc... ... Passive : no comment ;-p)))))

  • is this on any album? idd love to get it

  • @oldschoolinktattoos

I am afraid only on the limited edition of 'Is A Woman' , on the Bonus disc ;)

  • What a great cover!

  • 2 bands from such different periods of my life, brought together through excellent writing and performing skills.

    A joy to find :)

  • So Very Good

  • I'm a Leeds lad, who has held The Sisters, close to his being, for nigh on 20 years.

Lambchop blew me away with 'Up With People', 6 years ago.

Randomly, I've just found this cover, that don't belong but, tonight, with this last finger of Jameson's.

    I feel very content

  • Oh crap. A good cover of This Corrosion. It seems that instead of trying to match the style of Sisters of Mercy, (like every other shitty cover) Lambchop made their own, and hit spot on.

  • great song

  • Thanks for posting........in its own way as good as the som version.

  • Sisters' songs should only be covered like this. Good songs deserve multiple lives.

  • Oh, this is nifty.

  • A great cover!

  • Heard this one the radio once. A devout fan of Eldridge myself, I believe this careful, soft interpretation captures the strength of the original even more so. Thanks for posting!

  • this songs makes that i love music feeling in youre body.

    only if you feel it.

i am drunk right now, chillin with my friends playin pokerm, and i can feel it.

  • Masterpiece :)

  • Excellent job - you caught the mood of the Sisters, Lambchop, and the song all in one video. Thanks - I'll be watching this again and again.

  • Thank you ^^

It was a quite a new expierience to me, imaging a neo-country cover of a classic gothrock song...

I don't drive Caddies, but I think it's the 'long black car on a straight road' that made this video as good as it could be. :P

  • There are echoes of the Sisters original promo for "Black Planet" - if you haven't seen that, then you might be amused when you find it...not quite the long black car, but...

  • You obviously analised this alll very well... :P

  • I hope you mean "analysed" - "analised" sounds like I've shoved it up my own arse....thinking about it, that may actually be your opinion.

  • No, I am not like Sunkorama ;)

    Just enjoy the song.

Not much more matters actually ^^

  • THANK YOU IN LOVE*****

  • I DO AND I WILL OUT OF THIS ******
