The original was better, and melee was much better too. But it's still a great fighting game, just more casual. I attribute a lot of this to them changing the game physics so radically (which really threw me off) and the fact that they've nerfed a lot of characters that used to be amazing. Like ness for instance.

Conclusions after watching most of the Subspace Emissary videos again:

1. Peach is by far the most powerful character in the Nintendo universe.

2. Nintendo needs to make a Metal Gear Solid that features the caricature of Snake from SSBB.

3. SSBB is one of the many games that makes me happy to own a Wii.

Get No More Heroes 1 and 2. They're pretty cheap now and will be a really badass game experience.

But outta DK: County or Smash Bros. I say go Smash Bros. Fun for the whole family. But No More Heroes is my best choice. :)

i say the best way to get good at this game is go on training mode with a friend and put your damage on 999 and get a friend to pound on yu while dying in one hit

after about an hour in training mode you will be blocking 10% better

There are some characters with things unique and significant to them. Exp: Diddy with his bananas, Shiek with f tilt combo, Snake with his high tier placement. What do they all have in common? They can crawl! Crawl rhyms with Brawl so that's why they are cool.

I'd give it a 3 or 4. I liked the speed of melee better. Because of it I can't use some of my old favorites anymore to fight like Yoshi. For whatever reason that Melee was extremely addictive to myself and friends, after a month or two, we just didn't want to play it anymore. At least I got $35 when I traded it in.

Now I'd only play brawl if I wanted to make Mario fight Sonic or if I wanted a maximum of 30 minutes of fun... Which would probably be like 3 matches since the stage loading time is ridiculous and the match length is ridiculously long.

that game is laggy as hell. i love super smash brothers, i enjoyed every game of the series, but playing brawl online is no fun at all. its like you push the jump button and half a second later the character begins to jump. great fun if you play it with 4 people on one console, but not online.
